I didn't know if my heart was beating out of my chest because of my discomfort when it comes to being in a small room, or if the tall glass of water who hadn't stop staring at me since I walked in had something to do with it.

Steve, the counselor, was fashionably late once again. Nine minutes to be exact.

I took my eyes off of the guy when the door finally pushed open and sighed in relief.

"Just you two today?" Steve sighed. I nodded because for some odd reason I couldn't find my voice. Handsome guys did that to me.

"Welcome back Anna." Steve smiled while grabbing the sign in sheet off of the table. He turned to the mystery guy. "And you must be Klaus."

I looked over at the tall glass of water whose name happened to be Klaus. It suits him.

"Indeed I am." Klaus said. Just those three words sent a shiver down my spine.

Steve smiled and turned to look at the clock on the wall.

4:12 PM it read. Today's session ends in eighteen minutes.

"Lets make this quick then shall we?" Steve faked a smile. I've always wondered how he got to where he was today and why he still chose to do this job if it didn't make him happy. Maybe he ought to be sitting right alongside us.

"Why don't we just leave?" Klaus chose to speak up, causing both Anna and Steve to look towards his way.

"I know that you personally don't want to be here, but-"

"But nothing." Klaus growled.

"Klaus, please don't start this again. I've had a long and hard conversation with your parents and they think that it's best if you have these sessions among other people who are struggling with this as well instead of it just being you."

"I don't give a damn."

"Can you please act like you have some sense and talk to him with some respect." Anna said. As soon as she realized that she said that out loud, her hand flew to her mouth in horror.

Both Klaus and Steve turned to look at her. While Steve had a look of gratitude, Klaus had quite the opposite expression. He looked like he wanted to murder Anna at that very moment.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that." Anna began to say, but was interrupted by Steve.

"No, I'm glad you did." Steve smiled. "I was hoping that you two would get along, but it's actually great since you, Anna, don't have a partner for volunteer days. Now you do. Anna Stevens, meet Klaus Fischer."

Oh fuck.
