Henry

After that little exchange, Alan insisted we sit down. I was still a bit put off by the stranger but I didn't press the matter. That was a topic for a later date.

"We should have had this talk the minute I arrived," Alan muttered while flicking his emerald eyes over to Lu who was standing in the kitchen, his arms crossed over his chest. "I don't want the mutt to hear this," he bit out causing me to frown. I turned to Lu who's jaw was clenched tightly. "Will you give us a minute?" I asked with a gentle tone. He, if course didn't budge with my first request. "Please?"

He grunted before slinking away. The caravan shifted before balancing itself again. We both sighed in unison before staring at eachother, none of us daring to start this conversation. I was barely holding myself together at this point. I had so many questions, but one big one. "Why did you leave me?" I asked, my voice wavering a bit. He went to answer but chose not to. "Was it because of me? W-Was it something I did?" I tried again, this time getting a reaction. "Of course not! I loved you more than anything in the world!" He cried out, grabbing my trembling hands. He loved me. Not anymore.

"Then why did you leave?"

He stared hard, as if he was trying to look right through me. "I can't tell you that.." He muttered. I ripped my hands from his grip and stood up, now angry. "Why not!" I shouted. For a whole year I tried to wrap my head around why he left but I never could. He pursed his lips into a thing line again, not saying anything. I gave a small, humorless chuckle, wiping away the fresh tears. "I waited a year for some answers and now that you're here I still can't get them!"

He gave off a pained look. Why couldn't he just tell me? "I haven't looked at myself since you left. I couldn't look in the mirror not expecting you to be by my side so I eventually covered up all my mirrors." I admitted feeling a bit silly. For all I know I couldn't grown a third eye and I wouldn't have known about it. A small tear slipped down his pale cheek as he stood up, his fists clenched into tight balls. We were already so close it made it all too easy for him to cup my wet cheeks with his hands and pull me tight against his chest. Our lips connected and I instantly felt my legs go weak. His lips felt the same as they did before he left, plush and velvety. I moaned when I felt his tongue enter my mouth. He tasted different, almost like metal.

I reluctantly pushed us apart, a string of saliva connecting our lips. "W-We can't Alan. You have someone," I stammered, taking a wild guess. I hoped to god that boy wasn't his. A simple nod confirmed my fears. As much as I wanted to do more than just kiss I wouldn't allow myself to ruin his relationship, even if he came onto me first. "I can't tell you why I left but believe me when I say this, it wasn't your fault." He assured me. As soon as he said that it was like a tonne of bricks off my chest. I let a few more tears slip in relief.

I signed before sitting back down, Alan mimicking my actions. A soft smile took replaced my frown. "So, are you going to tell me about him?" I asked, trying to relieve the tension. He chuckled, his voice strained from crying. "His name is Sam." He stated. I expected more but that was it. "How did you guys meet?" I inquired with a playful tone. This was what I was used to. I could tell he didn't want to tell me by that same look he always gave when he didn't want to lie, but didn't want to tell the truth either.

"A one-night stand.." He muttered.

I snorted. "Classy as ever, Al." I sighed. He grumbled something incoherent before getting up. "You want tea?" He asked obviously trying to change the subject. "Does Sam like tea?" I asked back making him groan. I was only saying this to annoy Alan, not because I was actually interested in him. "Fine, no tea." He grumbled, dropping the tea bags. I simply shrugged. "You're too easy to mess with,"

He then shot me a death-glare. I had totally forgotten to ask about that strange lady but I decided it'd be best if I asked about that sometime else. We talked for a little bit, mostly about me as he didn't want to talk about himself at all. After our very long conversation we decided to head out, opening the door to reveal Lu. He had an irritated look on his face, almost resembling Alan. He moved aside to let us to walk out, staring down Alan as we walked pass. "Hen." He muttered, grabbing my arm firmly. Alan gave me an expecting look, probably wanting me to meet his new boyfriend. Just one second I mouthed before being pulled aside by Lu.

"I'm sorry, there's no bacon left." I sighed. He didn't give me any response, not even a frown. He traced his thumb over my tacky cheeks before huffing. "Sad?" He muttered. The way his usual hard gaze softened and his cool grey eyes warmed up just the slightest made my heart melt. "No, not anymore." I replied with a smile. With that, his face returned to normal. I dragged him along and joined up with Alan who was chatting with Sam and the others. Al must have cracked a joke because everyone was laughing like hyenas.

"Henry! Come meet Sam," he urged, pulling me by my hand. Lu was lingering me like a large shadow, sketching out the new guy. Sam brushed a few stray locks of hair behind his weird pointy ears before sticking out his hand. I reluctantly took it. "Nice to meet you," he chimed, his voice refined and sickly sweet. "You too," I responded with a plastic smile. I shouldn't be acting like this.

"So you're his last boyfriend?"

I cringed. The way he said it made it sound more like a statement then a question. I simply nodded. His smile grew into a grin. "Great. Now I'll have someone to gossip about how bad he is in bed," he joked, earning an uproar of laughter. I then had to watch the two lean in for a kiss. I wasn't the type to be jealous but apparently this proved me wrong. I cleared my throat, fumbling for Lu's hand from behind me. "I think I left my phone in the caravan." I lied already backing away.

I wanted out of that situation the minute I set foot in it. I just need to calm myself down so I brought Lu into the caravan and washed my face at the kitchen sink. I went to get my phone as to not look suspiscous when I caught a glimpse of something in the corner of my eye. A tiny mirror was propped up on the wall, just big enough to see from the neck up. I took a deep breath before gazing into it. I hadn't changed one bit, my smooth caramel skin was bright, slightly lighter in colour from not going outside that often. My big amber eyes hadn't changed one bit, being framed by my naturally long lashes. Alan always made sure to make fun of them, too bad they were his weakness. I was still petite and I kept my soft features, which I didn't mind but what stood out was how long my hair was getting. I hadn't cut it in ages and I always made Rita cut them for me but she seemed to be busy a lot recently. I remember it looking like a brown mop of curls but now it was nearly touching my shoulders.

Lu huffed from behind me, standing between the kitchen cabinet and the small fridge. "Who.." He started. "Who that?" He asked. I had to stop myself from squealing about how adorable he sounded. "Oh don't worry about him." I muttered. He's just some blonde bitch I wanted to add but refrained. I really didn't want to stick around here for much longer, so I was wondering what I could do to get me away, then it came to me.

"Wanna go shopping?"
