Henry

I woke up with my face tucked right into Lu's chest. He was warm and it almost felt like his pecs were molded like a pillow just for me. Okay, maybe the last bit was an overstatement. He didn't seem to mind, keeping his hold around my waist tight. I stayed like that, my cheek pressed up against his chest, mesmerized by the way his chest fell and rose. I was probably being creepy.

I shuffled around a bit before I got in a position where I could push myself off of him but he wouldn't budge. I touched my left eye expecting to feel he same spikey-pain feeling but I was completely fine. I wasn't in bed with Alan I was with Lu. My dad's dead and I don't have to worry about him anymore.

"Lu," I whispered, trying to wake him up but he didn't. I only got a small chuff in reply. "Lu!" I tried again and he stirred a little. This man slept like a log! I paused for a bit, accepting that I might actually be stuck when he made another noise.

It wasn't snoring or anything like that but instead he sounded like he was whimpering. His breathing became laboured and his entire body began to shake. I panicked. "Hey, it's okay." I soothed, placing my hand on his cheek. His eyes flew open and from the heat in my palm I could tell he was blushing. He nuzzled my hand a bit, calming down. He really was just like a puppy.

"You okay?" I asked. He nodded, staring deep into my eyes. I felt my own cheeks heaten up a little as I realized just how big he was. I could just about see the sun rays peeking over his broad shoulders. There was this weird unfounded connection between us that neither of us had explored yet. Or maybe he was waiting, and I was getting caught up with Alan and whatever he was hiding. I wasn't afraid to admit he was hot, because he most definitely was. An unknown connection with a hot man and I chose not to investigate it, smart move, Henry.

But he probably has someone out there for him. I had to remember that I couldn't just keep him! I sighed then pushed myself off of him and he thankfully let go of my waist. "We're going to the police station today. We're going to find whoever is looking for you." I informed, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. I quickly looked at the clock and grimaced at the time. We slept through most of the day, watching as the clock ticked just passed one. His usual silence was matched by an angry face. "No." He bit out, now sitting up.

I dragged my hand down my face. "I don't want to go through this again, Lu. You can't stay with me and even if you could I don't want you to have to go through every argument between me and Alan!" I retorted. I didn't expect an answer as whatever he said wouldn't change my mind so I made my way downstairs and into the bathroom. I mentally cursed when I noticed the still full bath. I forgot to drain it.

I also forgot to cook dinner last night, so my stomach grumbled in annoyance. I furrowed my brows but proceeded to reach into the freezing cold water and pulled the plug, watching as the water formed a whirlpool before disappearing down the drain. I sighed the started up the shower. A quick one was in order.

I shed my clothes and then hopped in. Within that small five minutes I took the time to reflect on last night. I couldn't help but feel horrible. I know Alan wasn't being truthful but I told the man his dad died. I groaned. I wasn't supposed to be feeling bad. He was.

I got out and wrapped a tail around my waist, discarding my PJ's in the hamper. I quickly raced upstairs, Lu now looking at an old photo of me and mom. This was taken before she left me.

I took it from him, and placed it down. He still looked grumpy.

"The showers ready." I told him. He didn't budge. "Lu, I'm serious. We need to go down to the police station." I grumbled. He had a stern look on his face as if to say 'I'm not moving'. I waited awhile and I got gradually more and more impatient. "If you're not getting up I'll just go by myself." I said then began rummaging through my somehow untouched drawer for clothes. He got up and trudged over to me. "No. I come." He insisted then sped down into the hallway.

I got changed, then waited until I remembered he couldn't fit in the shower. Panic shot through my body and I sprinted down the stairs to try and stop him when I heard both a crash from the bathroom and a knock at the door. My first instincts were to go see if Lu was okay but he came stumbling out with a dazed look and his shirt half off with his arms caught up in a tangle.

There was another knock. "Just a minute?" I called out. Maybe it was Alan. Maybe he came to explain the truth or maybe say sorry. Again. You've got to stop thinking about him.

I shook my head of my thoughts and quickly helped Lu out of his shirt and gently shoved him back into the bathroom. "Don't come out," I whispered. Whoever it was I did not want them seeing Lu half naked. For both his sake and mine.

Whoever was knocking was getting more and more impatient every minute. "Coming!" I shouted then opened the door. A man with startling pale skin and deep auburn hair greeted me. His gaze felt familiar but I couldn't for the life of me remember where I had seen him. I thought for a second, and my mind went immediately to that night in the woods. "Hello," he greeted in a voice that made my blood run cold. "H-Hi, may I help you?" I asked. He was holding black tinted sunglasses that gave me more of a chill. Why are creepy random people showing up at my door?

"Yes, I believe you can." He hummed, eyeing the patch over my neck. "Is there anyone else here?" The man asked. In a way he reminded me of Alan, weirdly. "Excuse me?" I asked. Was this some sort of weird advertising thing? Was he a salesperson? He took a step forward and I immediately took a step back.

All of a sudden brain was screaming at me to get away from this man. "Th-There is someone here, thank you and I don't think-" he took another step forward again and I was two feet from my door and he was in my doorway. "I'd like you to take a step back. I'm not interested in whatever you want to sell me!" I exclaimed, stepping forward. I felt my neck pulsate, right where my wound was and he stumbled back. This guy was creepy and tried to force himself inside my home! I've already had that happen to me.

Without moving a muscle the door violently tried to slam shut just as I felt another pulse on my neck. Unfortunately the man caught the door and pushing it back open with ease. Was that a sudden gust of wind? And why did this man insist on coming into my home?

He didn't even try to ask my anymore questions, instead he pushed right passed me and right into the living room. "Hey! You need to get out before I call the cops!" I seethed, grabbing at his shoulder. The feeling I had when I made contact with this stranger was unspeakable. It felt as if the very blood inside me was trying to crawl out. Tiny sparks of ice cold flashes shot up my spine and it only worsened when he gripped my wrist. "You're coming with me," he growled. His eyes darkened and my neck pulsed again.

"Stop trying to use your powers against me!" He ordered, dragging me. "What the fuck are you talking about?! Stop it!" I screamed. Was I really about to get kidnapped inside my own home? He began to drag me to the back door instead of the front. My backyard that lead straight into the empty, deep dark woods.

Amongst my pleading and screaming I had forgotten about Lu, and just as I was about to call his name and be hauled out of the doorway I heard a loud smash and the sound of Lu running out. My bare feet just about hit the cold porch of the patio when I spotted an even more horrific sight. More terrifying then this man, or that ghostly French woman.

It was Lu- at least I think. His form was hard to make out, with the stretching and pulling of his skin and the sound of god awful bones snapping. It crouched and not a moment too soon an animal like creature stared at me, baring it's canines and drawing back it's ears.

It was a wolf. In my back door.
