Katrina slept for a long time, it seemed like for Jared.

He poked her cheeks but she wouldn't stir.

"Leave her alone she needs the rest." Devlin mumbled, he was finishing up with the final designs for the week on the couch. "But she's been sleeping for damn near a day in a half." Jared silently whispered.

It was the next day, and it was almost midnight.

"How could she sleep this long when I just got out of the hospital?" Jared ranted, he sighed and moved away from the bed, there was a slow knock on the door, and Jared went to eagerly open it. Devlin's sister happily stood there holding another box of pizza.

Devlin looked up from his spot and groaned.

"voch' avelin." No more.

He groaned, he was sick of pizza, and he was sure so was everyone else. "What kind of pizza is it?" Jared curiously asked, the pizza from the first night that he arrived had too many dressings. "It's just creamy spinach with cheese and sausages." Jessica shyly said, pulling on her skinny jeans. "Oooh actually you know what?" Jared pulled up the lid and grabbed two slices, Jessica smiled. "Here.. Just take it, or my mother is going to come out here." Jared furrowed his brow and snatched the pizza box from her hands.

Jessica giggled.

She noticed his mother savagely flirted with him while his boyfriend was around, Devlin rolled his eyes at him. "My mom is not dat bad." He mumbled, Jared lowered his eyes. "Anthony had one more week off from work and she made him go back.. Do you know how long I've gone without feeling him inside of me?" He screeched, Devlin scrunched his nose. "Das gross." Devlin growled. "I've been meaning to talk to you." Jared sang, he placed the pizza down on the coffee table and sat down on the couch next to him and took a bite. Jessica entered the room and peeped at the bedroom that was halfway open.

"Is she still asleep?" She curiously asked.

"Yes.. And I need her to wake up.. She's my insomnia buddy." Jared mumbled, he didn't want to embarrass Devlin in front of his sister, so he kept quiet. "Wot do you want to talk abot?" Devlin asked him, Jared shrugged. "I'll tell you later." Jessica pulled out her phone and texted Iner. "Don't you dare." Devlin snapped, Jessica gave him a pleading look. "I haven't talked to him in forever... He's going to break up with me." She groaned, Devlin placed his paperwork down and folded his hands. "Dat is not my problem." He angrily said, Jessica rolled her eyes at him, and awkwardly stood in the corner, it was her way of pleading with him.

"I promise, I won't do anything." She whispered, picking at her hands.

Devlin sighed.

"Dats wot you said d last time.. I don't trust you... Now Mayrik is breathing down my neck abot you." He growled, she inched closer over to him and fiddled with her hands, Jared noticed that Jessica treated Devlin like he was her father, he wondered about that.

"Can't I just send him one simple message?" She exclaimed, she was closer to him now and he could smell pizza on her breath, and other things. He scrunched his nose. "Text him I don't care.. Jus keep away wit dat stanky breath." He huffed, Jessica smiled and headed to the bathroom to text Iner, Jared whispered to him.

"Why does she act like that around you? I can't even get my little cousins to treat me with respect." He whispered, Devlin looked up at him. "She knows who wos there and who wasn't." He curtly said, Jared silently took back asking him that question, he didn't know there was tension between him and his father. "I love my dad.. It's just.. He wasn't there for her and my mom.. So dat's why she acts like dat I suppose." He grumbled, Jared smiled. "Part of that has to do with you.. You're a great brother." He exclaimed, Devlin smiled at him. "Thanks man." He murmured, he wasn't going to thank him after what he had to say, Jared sighed and let it out.
