I woke up the next morning and strangely enough felt more tired than ever. I looked around and noticed I was in my own room. I looked over at the nightstand and saw that my ring was on it. Confused, I looked at my hand and saw Rick's ring on my ring finger. "This morning is just getting weirder and weirder." I said to myself. I got up and swapped rings so I was wearing my own and holding Rick's. I walked out of my room and down the hall to Rick's room and pushed the door open. He wasn't there. I heard a noise come from downstairs and figured it would be Rick.
I walked down the steps and saw Rick looking out the kitchen window. "Rick?" He spun around, happy to see me awake. "Hey Sara. How are you today?" I looked at him funny. "I don't even know to be honest. I woke up in my own bed and your ring was on my finger. Mine was on the nightstand. I don't know how either of the rings ended up where they were, but here's yours back. I put mine back on already." I said as I handed him the ring and gave him a kiss.
His eyes grew wide. "Wait, you just kissed me." He was acting weird. "Why wouldn't I kiss you? You're my husband...." I barely finished my sentence when Rick picked me up and squeezed me tight. "Oh my god Sara, you just made me so happy." He kissed me hard. I pulled back and looked at him. "Rick what the heck is going on?" I questioned. Shit was not adding up until he sat me down at the table and told me the whole thing. I do remember running into those guys and them attacking me. "Did they rape me?" I asked. I wanted to know if there was a chance I could have a disease or be pregnant with that assholes baby.
"No. I killed him before he did." Rick said, taking my hand in his. "What were you even doing outside?" He asked. I tried to think back and remember why I went outside, but nothing came to mind. "I honestly can't remember." I struggled to even remember waking up that day.
