"Rick!" she exclaimed. She started walking towards him to embrace him and he stuck his hand up in the air to stop her. "Rick? What's wrong?" Lori asked. That's when she noticed me. "Oh...hi. I'm Lori. Rick's wife." She said. "Ex-wife" Rick quickly corrected. Lori looked at Rick in shock. "Excuse you? Ex-wife?!" She started yelling. "Yeah, ex-wife. You left me. Remember that?" He took me by the hand and brought me down to his level. "This is my wife now. Her name is Sara."
Lori looked at me with disgust. "She's young enough to be your daughter. What the hell Rick. I thought we had something special." Rick laughed hard. "Lori, we had something special until you left me for another man. We no longer have that something special. I don't love you anymore." He said toughly. Lori looked hurt. "But Rick, I-I'm sorry. It was a mistake." She said. "Did your new boyfriend die? Is that why you're back?" Rick demanded answers. "Well..the camp was overrun and only a few made it out. I stopped here because I thought the house was empty. Is everyone else around? Andrea? Dale? Shane?" "Yup they're all here. And I'm sure nobody will be excited to see you. So you should leave now." I listened to the coldness in Rick's voice. I pulled him aside. "Rick you can't send her out tonight. She'll die." I whispered. Rick looked at me shocked. "Why do you want to help her?" he asked. "I know she hurt you babe, but I can't live with her blood on my hands. Let her sleep here tonight and send her on her way in the morning." Rick looked at me with unsure eyes. "For me?" I pleaded. As weird as it is having her here, I can't let him send her away.
Rick sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Alright, only for tonight." He whispered back. Rick turned his attention to Lori. "You can sleep on the couch tonight." Lori had hopeful eyes. "But in the morning, you're gone." He continued. The hope left her eyes. I started to get sleepy so I went upstairs. "Be up in a second" Rick said as I started up the steps. I walked around the corner and listened for conversations.
"I can't believe you're trying this Lori. I don't love you anymore. I love Sara and I'm happy with her. Why can't you accept that?" Rick whisper yelled. Lori let out a roaring laugh. "She looks like a fucking whore. Apparently she is if she's sleeping with a man double her age." I felt my face get hot. "Yeah well if it wasn't for that "whore" your ass would be out of here right now. So count your lucky stars bitch." I looked around the corner in time to see Lori slap Rick across the face. That sent me flying down the steps. I walked up to Lori and punched her in the face. She fell to the ground and I got on top of her and punched her again. I grabbed her shirt and brought her face close to mine. "You know something Lori? I don't give a flying fuck if you get killed tonight. You're not staying here. You're no longer welcome." I threw her on the floor and punched her one more time. I got off of her and looked at Rick. "I'm gonna go get Shane to help you get this cunt out of here." I said as I opened the door and walked out.
It's beyond dangerous to go outside at night but I was so pissed at Lori that I wasn't thinking straight. I went to Shane's house, which is located next to ours and knocked on the door. I heard footsteps and then nothing. "Shane it's me. Open up." Shane opened the door and looked at me with confusion. "What's the problem darlin?" "The problem is there's a stupid bitch in my house and I need you to help Rick get rid of her." I said angrily. I saw Andrea appear behind Shane. "You alright Sara?" "No." I said. "Lori is here."
