There must've been something in the air because shortly after Hershel came out, everyone else did too. I saw Daryl come out and went over to go talk to him. "Hey Daryl." "Hey darlin, how are ya this mornin?" He asked, getting his stuff together. "I'm good, how about you?" "I'm good just getting ready to go hunting. Wanna come? I'll teach ya how to track" he said. "Yes! Let me just go let Rick know." I ran over to let Rick know what I was doing. "Alright have fun. I know Daryl will take care of you, but please be safe." He said as he hugged me. "I will." I said kissing his cheek.

Daryl handed me a bag just a Merle walked out of the house. "Hey there sugar tits." I rolled my eyes disgusted. "Did ya sleep well last night?" He asked I looked at him curiously. "Fine thanks, and you?" "Well I was sleeping for a while but woke up from the storm. Then I heard moaning and groaning for a good hour or more." My face dropped. "Next time you and Officer Friendly are gonna have a little bit of fun, I suggest closing your windows." He said laughing. I looked at him. "My sex life is none of your business unless I'm fucking you, which I'm not." His jaw dropped in shock. I couldn't believe I whipped out a comeback that good. Just then Daryl picked up his own bag and crossbow. He looked at me and said "Let's go."

Daryl and I headed out into the woods. He was teaching me how to hold the crossbow correctly. "Daryl, this thing is fuckin heavy." I whined. "Hold it up higher" he said, ignoring me. "Like this?" I questioned. "No" Daryl said. "Ya gotta bring it up more like this." He helped me adjust my arms to the proper stance. "So you and Rick, huh?" I blushed a little. "He really cares about ya. I've never seen him so happy." He added. "Thanks Daryl. That's nice to hear." Daryl smiled. "Whoa. Did I just see Daryl Dixon...smile?" "Hey, you best watch your mouth missy." we both laughed. Just then, I saw a huge buck stop about 15 feet away. I motioned at Daryl to kill it, forgetting I had the crossbow. "You do it" he urged. "Im afraid I'll miss." I whispered. "Just do what I taught you. You can do it." He added some encouragement in there. I took a deep breath and held it in as I pulled the trigger. The buck fell to the ground.

"I - I did it." I said shocked. "Told ya you could." "I did it!" I said again. I couldn't believe it. I actually killed the deer! "I di- wait. How are we gonna bring this bitch back to camp?" I stopped being excited. Daryl laughed. "We passed an abandoned truck not too long ago. I'll go get it. We can put it in the bed of the truck." He took his crossbow and handed me a knife. "I won't be too long. Maybe 10 minutes or so. Will you be okay by yourself?" I looked around. "Yeah. I should be okay." I said. "Okay. If I'm not back in 20 minutes tops, you need to go back to camp." I looked at him and nodded. "Be safe." I said as he walked through the trees.
