"Hershel please. There has to be something more you can do." I begged. I couldn't handle what he was telling me. "I'm sorry Sara but I can't do anything more." Hershel looked at me with sorry eyes. "There is a possibility of him waking up. I'm not sure how long that will take though. You just have to be patient." I started to cry. The person I love the most might die. It doesn't feel real.

I walked down the stairs and out of the house. I needed air and some time to think. I started to walk into the woods when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I immediately spun around, ready to attack. Dale threw his hands in the air, signaling that he wasn't an attacker. "Sorry Dale" I said with a small chuckle. He smiled at me. "You're okay Sara. I just wanted to tell you that we are all here for you. You don't have to do this alone." I tried to give him my best fake smile, but Dale didn't buy it.

"Rick is important to all of us. Nobody wants to see him like this." He continued. I looked at him through the tears in my eyes and held up my left hand. "He asked me to marry him last night, before everything happened." Dale gasped and hugged me. "Congratulations. We are all here for you." He repeated. "Don't try to handle this on your own." Dale broke the hug and turned to go back to his house while I headed for the woods.

I sat up against a tree to think. Why did this have to happen? Why did Lori have to come back? Why couldn't she accept that Rick was over her? All these questions raced through my mind as I closed my eyes. 'Why? Why him?' I thought. I opened my eyes and looked down at my hand to my ring. I started sobbing. The person who loves me the most might die.
