It was so rainy and cold out that Rick and I decided we would just lay in bed for the day. It's not like there was anything better to do. We just laid with each other and talked about our previous lives. It was interesting hearing about Rick's old life. My life was boring. Not many interesting things happened to me.
"And then we got so drunk that we didn't even recognize our own wives. It was hilarious. Of course Lori was pissed but she always was." Rick said as he played with his wedding ring. He slid it off his finger and looked at it. "You know, I believe it's time for me to get a new wedding ring. Don't you think? I shouldn't have the same ring as I had with Lori. I want you to pick one out for me." He said as he took the ring and threw it in the trash. "New wife means new ring." He looked at me and smiled. I smiled back and reached up to kiss him. "I would love to pick one out for you. We can show off our bling together." We both laughed.
"Can we go tomorrow to get one?" I asked him. Rick thought about it for a second. "We can go today if you'd like. Honestly, we need more supplies anyway. There's that UPS truck I told you about. We could take that, hit the mall, and bring stuff back for everyone." I jumped out of bed to put to get dressed and ready to go. I looked back at Rick. "Who else is coming?" I asked. "I was thinking Shane and Andrea? Are you alright with that?" I nodded and finished getting ready.
We all met up and followed Rick to where the truck was located. We got in and there was about half a tank of gas left. Definitely enough to make a few trips if needed. The seats were not like normal ups trucks, this one had a seat like you would find in a one door truck. It was like sitting in a booth. Rick drove and I sat next to him. Andrea sat next to me and then Shane on the other side of her. I leaned my head back and felt Rick grab my hand and interlace our fingers. I smiled and moved my head to rest it on his shoulder. It was a nice and peaceful ride to the mall.
