The Battle

"No. No no no no no. You don't get to do that. You're cheating! That's what this is! You're cheating!" Shigaraki steps away from me, his eyes wide with insanity. "You're cheating!"

"You can't cheat at life, Shigaraki."

"But you, you have!" He hisses, anger seizing him. "How did you do it? HOW!" I set my hand on his chest, making his skin dissolve again.

"Don't you see? Or are you that naïve?" He bats my hand away, taking another step back.

"I was saving him for All Might, but I think you'll do just fine."

"Kyarakuta, leave. NOW!" Aizawa yells, his scarf wrapping around me and pushing me away from Shigaraki. Aizawa's standing, but clearly weak. His neck is bleeding heavily. He can't stay here long.

"I'm not leaving." I glance past Shigaraki, noticing Asui, Mineta, and Midoriya. They all look terrified, but Midoriya, who is clearly shaking in his boots, is smiling. How does he do that? I make eye contact with him, and he nods. His eyes show that they'll help Aizawa.

"As your teacher, I'm telling you to leave." Aizawa's words slur together as he sways gently. "Please."

"Sorry, but I can't do that." I slowly pace in a circle around Shigaraki, making sure his eyes are on me, not the three teens behind him. Once his back is turned to Aizawa, Midoriya and Asui run out to grab him. I keep eye contact with Shigaraki, willing him not to notice. He's at his breaking point. I can see it in his eyes. He's crazy. Mineta makes a small noise. Small, but lethal.

It grabs Shigaraki's attention, making him twist around and dive at the four in anger.

"Speedy!" I appear in front of Shigaraki, punching him in the gut hard enough to send him flying across the clearing. Mineta whimpers something about not wanting to die, and Asui hushes him as they rush away with Aizawa, who appears unconscious. "Well, now that my friends are safe, I can have a little fun." Shigaraki glares at me, his anger finally spilling over.

"HOW DARE YOU! YOU'RE RUINING EVERYTHING!" He hurdles himself at me, attempting to get all five fingers on me. He only gets angrier when I use my speed to easily evade everything he throws at me. "AT LEAST FIGHT BACK YOU LITTLE BASTARD!"

"Come now, you don't really want me to do that." Shigaraki grits his teeth, his eyes wide with hysteria.

"WHY WON'T YOU DIE!" I chuckle, speeding away from another blind punch.

"Fine. You want me to fight?" He growls in anger. "I'll take that as a yes. I've actually been working on a quirk that I think you'll enjoy. Oh Sparkles, come on out!" Shigaraki dives at me, but this time is met by a blast large enough to knock that hand off his face.

"THAT BETTER NOT HAVE BEEN WHAT I THINK THAT WAS." Bakugo comes crashing in, creating another explosion that propels Shigaraki further into the air. Todoroki follows behind him, encasing Shigaraki in ice.

"I've got this, guys. Go help the others get out."

"There's no way I'm letting you get all the fun!" Bakugo smiles evilly, creating sparks in his palms.

"Bakugo, listen to the boy." Bakugo turns around to see All Might towering over him. He hesitantly complies, following Todoroki towards the entrance, shaking with anger. "You too, Kyarakuta." I shake my head, staring after the pair.

"I have to protect them. All of them. I've never... felt like this before. All I know is, I can't run. Not now." All Might sighs, nodding.

"You'll be a good hero one day, Kyarakuta." Warp Gate teleports Shigaraki out of his ice prison and next to him, away from All Might and I. I could get to them in a matter of seconds, but I'm going to let him do his little monologue. He deserves it at this point.

"All Might. After all this waiting, the heroic piece of trash shows up. I've been saving my finale for you." All might dives at the villain, preparing to Carolina Smash him. "Nomu." The bird creature jumps to Shigaraki's aid, blocking All Might's attack. They plunge into battle, All Might punching Nomu hundreds of times in an attempt to subdue him.

"And you!" Shigaraki turns to me, shaking in anger. "I don't know who you think you are, but I will not let you defeat me. I will not be defeated by a child. No way!" I glance over as All Might struggles. Warp Gate had him trapped, and Nomu wasn't going to let him go. It's hard to tell through the hand, but Shigaraki looks pretty proud of himself. He's laughing at his victory. I smirk, calling Speedy and running up behind him to grab his neck.

"Dissolve." His quirk flows through me, moving to my fingertips. "Don't move." Shigaraki freezes mid-laugh, stiffening. "You know what happens when I set my fifth finger down, now don't you." He fidgets, slowly raising his hands. "I said don't move." He scowls, putting his hands back down. "Call them off." I can feel the anger radiating off him. "NOW."

"That's not very heroic of you."

"I'm not here to be a hero." He stiffens, realizing the danger he's in.

"Stop. Let him go, Nomu." Nomu does as he's told, allowing All Might out of his grip. Warp gate hesitates but does as he's told.

"Good."

"You. How do you do it?" I chuckle almost evilly.

"You still don't get it, do you. If you can't figure it out yourself, why should I tell you." Shigaraki hisses, spinning around. I have enough time to place my fifth finger down, but he pushes me back before I do too much damage.

"YOU'RE CHEATING! HOW?" I shrug, staring at my foe. He screeches in anger, diving at me.

"Phaser." Phaser's quirk takes me just in time, making Shigaraki fall through me.

"HOW!" He dives at me again, blinded by his pure hatred. He falls through me, landing roughly on the ground. All Might finally punches Nomu so hard he crashes through the roof and out of sight. "NOMU! NOOO!" Shigaraki jumps to his feet, his eyes wide with animosity. "YOU CHEATED! YOU ALL CHEATED!" He starts breathing heavily, itching his neck. "If it weren't for you." He grabs at my neck, once again falling through me. "I would've won."

"I doubt that, Tomura Shigaraki."

"DON'T SAY MY NAME! YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TOO!" He dives at me again, still not understanding the fact that he literally can't touch me. He wildly hits at me, his breathing getting heavier.

"Tomura Shigaraki. It's useless. Let's go." Shigaraki grits his teeth, creating tight fists.

"Fine. But next time, you'll die first." He makes one last feeble attack before being surrounded by mist. Gunshots sound in the air, followed by the painful screams of Shigaraki before they're cut off by the gate closing.
And just like that, they're gone.
