XENIA'S POV:

I know you will always catch me.

A voice that sounded like mine whispered quietly in my head.

My eyelids felt so heavy that I was finding it nearly impossible to open them. I moaned due to the sudden throbbing in my head. My hands clenched the sheets as if my life depended on it.

The familiar scent of mint and chocolate engulfed my nostrils making me writhe uncontrollably on the bed. I felt someone grab my shoulders firmly and shake me violently.

"Xenia, it's okay. Its alright. Calm down or else you will have a panic attack." a voice spoke.

My eyebrows furrowed and I fluttered my eyes open slowly, trying to control my erratic heart rate. The room was dimly lit with only a yellow colored spotlight switched on. I blinked my eyes rapidly and saw Paul standing near my bed looking at me worryingly.

I felt another pair of hands rubbing my arms as I sat up holding my head. My eyes lazily moved to my right before widening. My breathing picked up once again and I sprinted off the bed and wrapped my arms around Paul.

He soothed my back as I buried my face in his chest. I looked up at him as tears threatened to fall out of my eyes, "I-I am going crazy. I am seeing things. Do something, please." I whispered.

I was panting heavily while his expressions looked torn. "Xenia, you're not-" he began to say but I shook my head.

"I just smelled his scent," my hands clutching on his dress shirt tightly "and I swear I saw him. I- there is- I am hallucinating." I told him shaking my head frantically from side to side.

He cupped my face from both sides and looked utterly sad. His eyes told me that he did not believe me.

"I am not lying, I promise. He was sitting just th-" I turned around pointing my thumb in the said direction before freezing completely.

He was not sitting there anymore but standing on the other side of the bed in a royal blue dress shirt and blue jeans. My knees gave out and I fell on the floor clutching my head tightly.

"Don't come any closer." I screamed as I saw him moving closer.

Pain flashed in his eyes and I looked away. Paul hauled me up before sitting me on the bed. I felt the bed dip beside me and that is when Paul spoke up, "I will leave you two alone." he said before going out and closing the door behind him.

I sat there numbly staring in space while he wrapped his arms around my shoulders. I shrugged off his touch. He sighed loudly from beside me.

"Get out." I whispered.

"Eva-"

"GET THE FUCK OUT!" I screamed standing up to create some distance.

I still could not believe my eyes. He was standing there in front of me. Alive. Xander was alive.

His eyes raked over my upper body before stopping on my stomach. He slowly trudged forward and bend on his knees in front of me. Placing his hands on my stomach, he took sharp intake of breath. The situation felt so surreal.

His hands moved the shirt up until he could see my protruding belly. He teared up as he saw a couple of stretch marks there and leaned forward to place a tender kiss. As soon as his lips came in contact with my bare skin, tears started oozing out of my eyes.

"Are you for real?" I whispered.

He looked up and nodded hesitantly. A strangled choke broke through my throat and he immediately stood up engulfing me in his arms.
