Tony soft knocked on his friends door and opened it. "H-Hey Cap.. uh can i.. stay here again.. "
Steve sighed and rubbed his eyes.
"Look Tony, it's summer and too hot to be cuddling here with you"
Tony blushed and looked down at his feet.
"Also today's mission was exhausting and i'm really tired, maybe another time"Steve quietly explained, trying not to upset Tony.
"Oh- okay.."

Steve couldn't sleep and he knew so couldn't Tony. That's why he was worried. Tony would only ask to sleep at Steve's when he had a nightmare and couldn't sleep. He said something about Steve made him feel safe.
But he had sent him away. Why? Because he was catching feelings for the billionaire. But he couldn't accept it, so he kept distance to Tony until he would figure out how to feel about him.
But the that night he couldn't stop being worried. Worried about Tony not sleeping. This mission had really been exhausting and Tony also had the right to get some sleep.
Steve leaned his head against Tony's bedroom door before opening it slowly. It broke his heart to see the brunette wiggling around and mumbling things in his sleep with sweat dripping down his face.
Steve sat down on the bed and ran hia hand over Tony's cheek. It made Tony a little bit calmer so he decided to lay down next to him and rest his forehead against the other one's while warping his arms around his waist. "Shh Tony you're okay. I'm here"he softly mumbled into his ear. Soon he fell asleep too and they both had a peaceful night.
