Steve and Tony we're used to getting stupid comments about their relationship.
Oh no it's not what you think! Not the media, it was the avengers.
They'd stand around and make throwing up noises when Steve and Tony kissed, told them not to be so touchy or sit between them in movie nights.
Everyone did those things, from Bucky to Peter Quill, from Thor to Clint. They we're all just childish.
But one day the avengers had a family dinner.
The big table was all set up and they had pizza. Steve and Tony sat in the middle opposit eachother, looking at eachother happily as the others talked.
Tony leaned forward.
"I'm taking you out on a date tomorrow"he mumbled and smiled.
Steve chuckled as he picked up his pizza slice.
"And where will we be going?"
Tony leaned over the table and pecked his lips.
"you p-"
"guys not again come on"Bucky said while rolling his eyes.
Tony shyly sat back and Steve sighed, faking a smile.
Clint joined laughing.
"We wanted to go on vacation but seems like it will be a honeymoon for you t-"
Suddenly Natasha slammed her hand on the table.
"That's it! Stop! They're happy can you just for ONCE let them be?!"
"Nat you don't have to-"Steve started but got interrupted by Valkyrie who looked at Clint and Bucky judgingly.
"No she's right they always pick up on you"she said with a nod.
"Calm down we're just joking"Peter, the kid started.
"The only joke here are you guys"MJ answered, shoving a pizza slice in her mouth.
Tony looked at Steve in a 'what is happening' way and Steve just shrugged.
"If they don't date you're unhappy and if they date you're unhappy. Can you actually see that they are uncomfortable?"Carol added with a roll of her eyes.
"Oh my god calm down ya'll are seriously overreacting"Peter Quill started and earned a glare from Gamore which made him shut up.
"It's not our fault that they-"Bucky started but got interrupted.
"One other word and i'm chopping off the arm that's still left"Yelena, who is usually pretty quiet, growled.
The brunette gulped.
All of the boys shut up at ones and looked down at their plates.
Tony chuckled slightly.
"It's okay, you can stare at him as long as you want to"Natasha smiled at Steve who thanked her.
And from that day the male avengers never joked about Steve and Tony ever again.
