Chapter 5: Ninjago City

To almost everyone, the city was just so fascinating.
It took about three days to get there, but now they were there. The twins could get proper medical treatment and could get the things that they needed as well. It was just so big!

"I wonder if the museum is any different....." Krux said.

"I wonder if the swamp is still there." Acronix said.

"That to." Krux said.

He kept walking until someone pulled him back. A car pulled up to the group and started talking to him.

"Watch where you're walking!" They said.

"It isn't my fault that I can't see that well!" Krux said.

"Then go to the doctor! Easy fix." They said.

He rolled his eyes. Acronix walked by and gave the person the finger.

"Hey! That's not nice." They said.

"He can't hear you that well." Krux stated.

"Let's not get into a fight." Anna said.

"And aren't you two the twins that attacked the city? If so, get out of the city. Nobody wants you here." They said, sternly.

"They NEED proper medical treatment!" Anna snapped.

She then separated the person and the twins, and kept walking. The twins also received death threats and got dirty looks, someone actually hit them. They were stopped by a police officer.

"Excuse me, but aren't those two the Time Twins?" The officer asked.

"Yes?" Ari replied.

"Well then....." The officer said before calling for another officer and pulling out handcuffs.

"ARE YOU SERIOUSLY GOING TO ARREST SOMEONE WHO CANNOT PROPERLY SEE AND SOMEONE WHO CANNOT PROPERLY HEAR?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" Ari shouted.

"Miss, I'm just doing my job." The officer said.

"No. They need proper medical treatment!" Ari protested.

Everyone pitched in on defending he twins. The Twins started to break down and cry. They defended them. And then they continued to walk, having nowhere to go. They all had to get jobs, but that still left the twins homeless. Nobody wanted to hire them.

"Pst. You two. I found a place to live. I paid for an apartment for you two too. You're living next door to me."

The twins got up and walked with the person, who showed them their new apartment.

"I already got furniture in here for you two. The beds are already made. I already hooked up the television and WiFi. There's food in the fridge and everything is all hooked up. I'll pay your bills and rent for you, don't worry."

They kinda smiled. Even though they were given may death threats and almost got arrested for even being in the city and not to mention that they are still messed up from their fall from the temporal vortex.

They went out into the city with the person who basically provided them a home for free. They walked into the city, hoping that nobody would try to jump them. They went to a doctor first, which that didn't go well.

"Well. I know of a person who I think has something that can help you two." They said. "Come with me."

The three of them walked into the lobby of a building, and the person led them into an elevator and went up to the 100th floor.

"Hello, Mr. Borg! I was wondering if you could help me with something." The person said.

"Hello! What can I help you wi-."

The twins stood there nervously. Cyrus was getting ready to call security.

"One of them can't see well and the other can't hear that well. Do you have anything that can help them?"

"Well.....I have some contact lenses that I never used. Maybe those could help with the vision problem. As for the hearing problem....." he went over to his work table and grabbed something, then had Acronix sit down. "Hold still."

He held as still as he could as he gave him a hearing aid.

"Ok. You can move now." Cyrus said.

"Everything is.....clearer now." Acronix said. "I like it!"

Acronix stood up and walked around, still amazed. Cyrus motioned for Krux to come over and sit down. He went over and sat down.

"Tip your head back a little and don't move."

He did as told to do. The inventor held one of Krux's eyes open with one hand and applied one of the lenses with the other. He did the same with the other eye. He blinked once they were in. He was amazed on how he could see again.

They started their day like everyone else did. It was nice to see and hear again. They were finding stuff to eat for breakfast. Their neighbor came over.

"Hey, hey! Need help finding anything?" They asked.

"Yeah." Acronix answered.

"I can make you some eggs, pancakes, waffles, anything." They said.

"I kinda got rashes when I ate eggs when I was younger....." Acronix said.

"And sent yourself to the hospital because you ate an egg. The plan was delayed because of it." Krux stated.

"I know." Acronix said.

"So eggs are off the table. How about some pancakes?" They said.

They both nodded. Their neighbor showed them how to make them. The black haired twins watched carefully. Once they were done, they sat down at the table and ate, and added a bit of syrup. Their neighbor gave them some coffee with it.

They went shopping for clothes with their neighbor. Then then got some new shoes and some new shower products. And once everyone started getting used to them being there and they adjusted to living in the city. City life wasn't all that bad.

They got used to wearing more casual things and were off and on about the eye make up. And didn't use their powers in public, only in the house. Now all that was left was to find what the city had to offer, find friends and hope to keep that friendship with those people.

Hopefully they would get more positive interactions with the people living there and they hoped that they would get accepted into modern society.
