Chapter 17: Thoughts

They just got done with round two, and Chris had Krux pinned to the bed by the wrists and was just showering him with kisses.

"You're beautiful." Chris said.

"No. You're beautiful." Krux said.

"No you're absolutely gorgeous and adorable. I love you." Chris said.

"You know by saying that I'm beautiful, you're also saying that about Acronix too." Krux said. "And I love you too."

Chris took a moment to let that sink in.

"Oh. You two are twins. Fuck." Chris said.

Krux smiled.

Cyrus was next to the bathroom door, then knocked on it.

"Acronix? Are you alright in there?" Cyrus asked.

He was breathless.

"I'm...fine." Acronix answered.

He washed up and then decided to clean the bathroom. He then walked out, looking normal again.

"I told...you that I...could handle it...myself." Acronix said, in between heave breaths.

"I know you did." Cyrus said.

"I don't want...to ruin our relationship." Acronix said.

"You're so sweet." Cyrus said.

Acronix smiled.
Cyrus then pulled him down to his level and kissed him on the cheek.

Chris made some tea and gave it to Krux, who was sitting on the couch. Chris smiled as he sat down next to his soon to be husband.

"I love you." Chris said.

"I love you too." Krux said.

"I won't let anything bad happen to you. I will protect you, and I will nurse you back to health when you're sick." Chris stated.

Krux was now thinking back on something as he sipped on his tea.

"You're too slow!"

"Well I can't jump forward in time."

At one point in time, they were kids. They were ambitious, and they were the best of friends, the closest of brothers.

Acronix and Krux lived a decent childhood, despite everything that happened to them. They were playing tag by the riverside, like they always did, until that almost fatal event happened.

"Tag! You're it!"

Uh oh! Time reversal!

"No u."

They played for thirty minutes before Krux tripped over something and got cut by a bush. He felt extremely dizzy and nauseous.

"Brother? Are you ok?"

"N-No."

His brother rarely stutters.
Something was wrong.
He noticed the small cut on his left leg.

Once they got home, their mother had him lay down in bed, as the dizziness and nauseous feeling increased. His head was hurting and his stomach was aching.

A few days have passed and Krux had fallen ill. There was a mark on his leg that was slowly getting bigger. Acronix would check in every single time he could. At first, it was a normal sickness, until it got worse and worse.
