Chapter 10: Break In

Chris couldn't sleep. He got up and went into the twins' apartment, since he had a spare key. He went in, shut and locked the door, and then crawled into bed with his boyfriend, wrapping his arms around his waist and kissed his neck before going to sleep.

Kai stayed up all night writing those letters. He had two to go, and those were for the twins. He decided not to write them. He refused to do anything for them. Krux kidnapped his parents. Acronix did some shit too. How could Nya be so forgiving of them so easily? He decided to head out, as he was going to end this right now.

When morning arrived, Krux woke up and was surprised that Chris was there. Chris opened his eyes.

"Morning sunshine." Chris said.

"Have you been there all night?" Krux asked.

"Yes I have." Chris replied.

Chris got up and then went to go get his work clothes, then returned to the apartment. He got changed in the bathroom and was waiting for Acronix to wake up so he could make breakfast. After that, he then went into his room, only to see that he was still sleeping.

"Hey. Wakey wakey." Chris said.

Acronix rolled over on his side, completely wrapped in his blanket. Chris moves the blanket away from his face to the best of his ability. He got a look at his face. He was sick. Chris went into the living room, and saw that Krux was sitting on the couch, wrapped in a blanket.

"Oh goodness, are you sick too?" Chris asked.

He put a hand to his forehead, he was feeling a little warm. He got him a cup of water and then gave some medicine to Acronix. He came back out, only to see that Krux is curled up on the couch, sleeping. He smiled, then kissed him on the head and left for work.

Kai got to the city and started walking. He was determined to end things now. He walked around and went into an apartment building. The lobby was nice. He then started his search. He started going through every single apartment. He got to the 7th floor and did searching there. He got to apartment 708r, which is Chris' apartment. The only clue he found was photos of a first date. And the photos had one of THEM in it. Kai left and went into 708l, and then got to 709r.

Kai drew his sword and started to carefully open doors, as to not disturb the sleeping person on the couch. He opened a door and saw that someone else was sleeping. Kai approached the person carefully and then got a look at their face.

"This is for Ninjago! Prepare to meet your fate, Acronix." Kai said, quietly.

Acronix heard what he said. He woke up and then rolled over, falling off of the bed and twisting his arm to the point where it broke. He screamed in pain before heavily coughing. Kai raised his sword but was then tackled. Kai and Krux then fought 1 v 1 for the third time. Chris entered the twins' apartment when he got home from work. He was not surprised, and he was scared that someone broke into not only their apartment but also HIS apartment as well.

Krux grabbed a knife.

"Mom, dad, where's Kai?" Nya asked.

"Didn't Wu say he was restricted to his room as a punishment?" Ray asked.

"He did. I can only imagine how angry he will be." Maya answered.

Wu came into view.

"Where is Kai?" Wu asked.

"We don't know." Nya answered.

"We need to find him." Wu said.

"I'll come with you." Maya said.

"I will too." Ray said.

The four of them left. Nya soon got a call from Chris, a person from the village. He stated Kai's location and that Kai and Krux are now fighting with sharp blades.

Soon, Nya, Wu, Ray, and Maya arrived on the scene. They saw Kai disappear into a room and then Krux chased after him with a knife. They heard Acronix scream and then cough heavily. Maya went into the room.

"Kai! What are you doing?!" Maya asked.

"Mom! I'm taking care of the problem!" Kai answered.

"Son! Please! Stop!" Ray said as he entered.

"Kai! Stop!" Nya said.

Wu came in.

"Kai. Stop. Listen to your parents and your sister. And to me too. Killing them isn't the solution." Wu said.

Krux sat down on the floor next to Acronix, who was bleeding and had his right arm broken. Everyone looked at Kai.

"We are aware of what happened to us in the past. But they are redeeming themselves and owning up to their actions, and apologizing to everyone. But please, have some humanity in your heart. You don't know what your doing." Maya said.

"Mom. I do know what I'm doing. I'm giving everyone the justice they deserve!" Kai said.

"Kai." Nya said.

"Listen to your mother." Ray said.

Krux got up and got Acronix out of the room.

"I'll go with them to the hospital. Everyone stay here." Wu said.

The three of them left.

"Why did you attack my boyfriend and his brother?" Chris asked.

"Wait...boyfriend?! I thought he was straight!" Kai said.

"Nope. He's bi." Chris said.

"Even I could tell. Remember when we first saw that mural at the museum?" Nya asked.

"Yeah." Kai said.

"And we could tell from the moment we met him." Ray said.

"Same thing with his brother too." Maya said.

"Am I off the hook?" Kai asked.

"No. You're probably going to have to pay a fine for breaking into apartments, whether the people that live there are home or not." Maya answered.

"And you'll be lucky to not have to do community service. Or even go to jail!" Nya said.

"Wu will probably have a punishment for you when he gets back." Ray said.

Chris was already cleaning up the apartment from the fight. Everyone helped except for Kai. They waited for what seemed like hours. But Wu finally came home with the twins. The twins looked at Kai with angry eyes. Wu spoke.

"Kai. You can't break into people's homes just to get revenge. Killing people isn't the answer. You will stay a minimum of twenty feet away from this apartment building and you will do community service on your downtime for breaking in. You will be restricted to your room when I say you are. I hate to do this to you but you can only have break and water for as long as I say." Wu said. "I apologize to you two too."

"I told him that he will have to pay a fine. That's if we tell the police." Maya said.

Kai rolled his eyes and stepped outside. Everyone else followed. That left Chris with the twins. Acronix went back to sleep and Krux also went to sleep. Chris tucked them in and went home for the night.
