Chapter 6: Punishment and Struggles

City life was hard. They had no job, they had no friends, and they had no sense of security. They were starting to stress out and their neighbor came in.

"Hello guys! Are you stressed out?" They asked.

"Yes." Krux answered.

"I went out last night and bought things just in case if this happened." They said.

"Like what?" Acronix asked.

They put a box on the table and opened it. The twins looked at what they were doing. They pulled out something.

"Do you know what this is?" They asked.

Acronix's eyes lit up.

"Fidget spinner!" Acronix said.

They handed it to him and he started spinning it. He pulled out a cube and handed it to Krux.

"It's a Rubik's cube. You mix it up and then try to get all of the sides one color." They said.

He started to mix up the cube and then started trying to solve it.

"There's other stuff in the box that I thought that you two might like. And I'll be back to teach you how to make more food." They said.

"Kai! You idiot!" Nya stated.

"I'm sorry!" Kai said.

"Kai. You have to understand!" Zane said.

Wu came out.

"What is the problem?" Wu asked.

"The Hands of Time are back and they were in a village! They were trying to attack!" Kai replied.

"No! That's not what happened!" Nya said.

"Kai. They were born there, that village was their HOME! They were injured and were getting medical attention! They had no intent on harming!" Zane said.

"Cole. Jay. Lloyd. What did you three do?" Wu asked.

"We were standing by as backup." Cole said.

"And once we saw the fire, we stopped." Jay said.

"They're right." Lloyd said.

"Hey hey! I'm back! What do you want to learn how to make?" They asked.

"Um....." Acronix said.

"I don't know?" Krux said.

"How about we make some lunch. We all make microwave food as a common lunch, and sandwiches. But I will show you how to make grilled cheese and soup." They said.

The twins got notepads ready and then was writing down and watching as they were explaining and cooking. Once it was done, they brought the food out to the table and had the twins eat. They ate their food.

"Do you want me to teach you how to make some dinner or do you want me to get take out?" They asked.

"Um.....I don't know." Acronix answered.

"Cooking?" Krux said.

"I'll show you how to make dinner. I'll see you until then!" They said before leaving.

.....

"I said I was sorry!" Kai said.

"You need to control your temper, Kai." Wu said. "If they weren't going to attack, then you had no reason to."

"What's going to happen to him?" Jay asked.

"Well.....I would say that Kai has to do extra chores for attacking when they were not attacking, and for burning an entire village down for losing his temper.....I will think of something." Wu replied.

He walked away.

"Great....." Kai mumbled.

"It's your fault. You lost your temper. What would mom and dad say if they were told that you burned a village down all because you lost your temper and attacked two people who had no intention to attack?" Nya asked.

"I.....I don't know. I'm sorry, Nya." Kai said.

"Don't apologize to me. Apologize to everyone. AND everyone in the village who most likely went into he city and found places to live. And you owe a BIG apology to the Time Twins for attacking." Nya said. "And did you even see the fear in their eyes?"

Acronix slept on the couch, the tv was on and he just slept. Krux was asleep on the other couch. There was a knock on the door. Krux got up and answered.

"Hey there! It's 5:30 pm. I tried calling you but nobody answered." Their neighbor said.

"We were asleep." Krux said.

"So that's why nobody answered?" They asked.

"Correct." Krux replied.

Acronix was waking up, he yawned and then sneezed. He had a kitten sneeze. He slowly got up and walked over to the door. Their neighbor entered once they were invited in.

"So, how are you two adjusting to everything?" They asked.

"Eh." Acronix said.

"Still getting used to it." Krux said.

"I know it's stressful. And I know we all lost our home. But everything will be alright." They said.

"Our parents' graves are still there." Krux stated.

"We might go back there to visit their graves." Acronix said.

"Oh. I'm sorry for your loss. Anyways, do you wanna learn how to make burgers?" They asked.

They nodded and were then showed how to do it. They watched and wrote stuff down. Soon, their food was ready and they sat down and ate. A while after they, they got sleepy again. They went into the bathroom, showered, brushed their teeth and got ready for bed. Their neighbor walked into their room, just as they were in getting in bed. They tucked the twins in and turned off the light. Soon, they left and used a Bobby pin to lock the door. They went home.

Everyone was discussing with Wu on what should be the major punishment that Kai should get for losing his temper and causing a whole village to be homeless. It was a major discussion while Kai was sitting in his room.

"I told them I was sorry. I told them and yet, they don't listen. All they tell me is that I'm a hothead. But they're evil! Evil is never good!" Kai said to himself before groaning.

He didn't like this one bit. Not at all. The others came in with Wu. Kai sighed.

"Since you were attacking "innocent" people, and displaced all of the villagers there, we have decided that you will go out on no solo missions, and you must not fight until you are needed." Wu said.

"FOR HOW LONG?!" Kai asked.

"That is to be decided." Wu said before leaving.

Kai got his punishment and the Time Twins are still struggling with city life.
