Chapter 42: Out of the Hospital

Soon... there were people in the rooms. The parents are with the kids at the moment, and Cyrus was with Acronix. His left leg was in a cast, he had bandages everywhere, and he had several dislocated joints, as well as a fracture on his left thumb. Cyrus stroked his hair.

"Please, love. Wake up. There's people who want to talk to you... and people who don't want to see you in pain." He said as a nurse entered.

"We have some news. And it's not good." She said.

"What is it?" Cyrus asked.

"He sustained a head injury. And we don't know how long it'll be until he wakes up." She replied.

He nodded and then kissed Acronix on the forehead.

Some time has passed. How long? Three weeks. He family has been in and out of the hospital, visiting their loved ones. Krux wasn't doing so good mentally, as his kids are on the verge of death, and his brother slipped into a coma with a bunch of injuries.

Cyrus was with Acronix again, having Krux in the room as well. They waited and waited until...
Until Acronix opened his eyes.

"What did... I miss?" Acronix asked.

"The kids on the verge of death, me crying myself to sleep every night, life being extremely hard for us, and everyone else being extremely miserable." Krux answered.

"THE KIDS ON THE VERGE OF DEATH?!" Acronix asked, shocked. "I wanna go see them! LET ME SEE THEM!"

"You can't just yet, love. You just woke up from being in a coma." Cyrus said.

"A coma?! For how long?!" Acronix asked.

"Three weeks." Cyrus answered.

"Th-THREE WEEKS?! WHAT EVEN HAPPENED?!" Acronix asked.

"You were taking the kids to school and some BITCH hit you from behind, not in a sexual way, because they were speeding. At least that's what I was told..." Krux said.

A nurse soon entered the room.

"Ah! I see you're awake. And I see that the IV drip bag is empty. And the kids are requesting for you with what little voice they have." She said.

A doctor soon entered.

"You're awake, I see. How do you feel?" He asked.

"Sore. My head hurts." Acronix answered.

"Well... we can let you go visit the kids. Can you walk? Do need someone to wheel you down there?" He asked.

"My brother can carry me." Acronix replied.

"WHAT?!" Krux asked before taking a deep breath. "Ok, fine. I'll do it."

The nurse unhooked a part of the IV, leaving the other part in his arm, after taping it down. Krux then picked Acronix up and the three of them went to go see the kids.

Once they got down there, they saw that the kids were barely awake. Blaire and Noah were trying to talk to Acronix as best as they could. And all he did was attempt to talk through the tears.

A week has passed and the hospital decided to let Acronix go home, as his injuries were healed enough so that he could go home. Krux was the one to drive over there and pick him up, of course, going to see the kids after retrieving his brother.

On the way home, it was not silent. Acronix then looked at the mirror and saw the car the hit them four weeks ago.

"PULL OVER PULL OVER PULL OVER!"

He attempted to pull over, but the car was going so fast and rear ended them. He pulled over on the side of the street and so did the other person. Krux got out and knocked on their window. They rolled it down.

"May I help you?"

"YOU JUST REAR ENDED MY HUSBAND'S CAR!"

"Listen. I already am in trouble with my insurance company because I hit some guy that had two kids with him."

"THAT WAS MY BROTHER AND MY SON AND DAUGHTER!"

"Well. I was gonna be late taking my six year old non virgin daughter to school."

"WHY?! DO YOU THINK I NEED TO KNOW THAT?!"

"Yes. And aren't you the brother of that popular slut on the internet?"

"Do NOT TALK ABOUT MY BROTHER LIKE THAT!"

"You are one too, I assume?"

Krux pulled out his phone and called nine one one. Acronix soon pulled himself out of the car and went over to where his brother was and saw the driver of the other car.

"Hey, shit head. Thanks for putting me in a coma. I really appreciate it." Acronix said.

"It's not my fault that you were going so slow." They said.

"BITCH! I GOT MY LICENSE THE OTHER DAY THAT DAY! OF COURSE I WOULD BE TAKING IT SLOW!" Acronix snapped.

Soon, the police showed up. And later... some paramedics checked Krux for injuries and Acronix for any further injuries. They both were fine.

"It's nice to have you back, love." Cyrus said.

"It's nice to be back." Acronix said.

The two then kissed.
Meanwhile in the kitchen...

"I cannot believe that that same irresponsible driver hit my car." Chris said.

"It's so stupid. And I worry for the kids..." Krux said.

"I believe that they'll make it." Chris said.

Krux put his head down on the table.

"How about we go get something to eat. At least to celebrate that your brother is home." Chris offered.

"Ok, fine. But we have no car." Krux said.

"I just got a car." Levi said, walking into the kitchen.

"Thank the lord. Ok, let's go." Chris said.

The five of them went into a restaurant once they got there. Luckily the employees were nice and made some accommodations, seeing that one was disabled and that one was injured. The five of them got to a table and ordered some drinks. Once those came back, they ordered food.

A few hours have passed and they were now back at home. As soon as Acronix was in his bed, he fell asleep.

He jolted awake, his heart beating rapidly and his breaths heavy. That meant only one thing...

He had a nightmare.
