Chapter 33: Truths

"What are you doing?" Blaire asked.

"Dada? Dad? What are you doing?" Noah asked.

Chris quickly moved his hand to Krux's waist before he picked him up.

"N-Nothing!" Chris quickly replied.

"Why was your hand near... you know where?" Noah asked.

"You kids are too young to have "the talk"." Chris said.

"What talk?" Blaire asked.

"You're too young." Chris said.

"Is it the sex talk?" Blaire asked.

"How did you... oh. That kid at school raped you. Of course you would know..." Chris said.

Noah was there, very confused. He didn't know what his dad was talking about.

"Babe. Stop rubbing your legs together." Chris said, in a low whisper to his husband.

All Krux did was give him a response in sign language. He said...

"I can't stop. I'm horny."

Chris was learning sign language to understand what he is saying around the kids. He sighed.

"I know. I'll take care of it for you." Chris said.

"What did dad say?" Noah asked.

"He's injured! And I'm going to go into the bedroom and take care of it!" Chris nervously replied as he slipped into the bedroom with Krux in his arms. He then shut and locked the door.

The kids then went downstairs, only to find their uncle asleep on the couch. And they noticed how the clothes he currently had on defines his curves. They then decided to cover him up with a blanket and let him sleep.

They walked into the kitchen and saw that there was a bottle of pills left on the counter. It might have been left there on accident, so they looked at the label. They then took it into he downstairs bathroom and put it in the medicine cabinet.

"Random question, but... what is dada and dad's names?" Noah asked.

"Idk. What's uncle Nix's full name?" Blaire asked.

It was silent.

Acronix woke up from his nap. He then sat up and stretched. Shortly after, Krux came downstairs, gritting his teeth in pain. He eventually made it into the kitchen and got some cold water. He then went into the bathroom and got some ointment to put on that burn on his left shoulder. He then sat down on the couch next to his brother, only for the both of them to fall asleep.

Chris then came downstairs and sat on the other couch, and the kids just came running and sat down next to him.

"Dada! I have a question!" Noah said.

"What is it?" Chris asked.

"What is you and dad's names? And what is uncle Nix's full name?" Noah asked.

"During career day, I think I heard him say dad's name and uncle Nix's full name. And I think dad has said dada's name multiple times before." Blaire said.

Chris got nervous. He shouldn't, since they were going to know their names one day.

"Really?" Noah asked.

"Dada is Chris, dad is Krux, and uncle Nix is Acronix." Blaire replied.

"How the-." Chris said. He then mumbled something under his breath.

"Is there any backstory to dad and uncle Nix?" Noah asked.

"Yes. There is. And there's something about myself that I haven't told you..." Chris replied.

The kids looked at him with curiosity. He sighed.

"Blaire, you were only a year old when this happened, since you're seven now. I was a builder, trying to make money for my home village. I was then kidnapped by some snake things and forced to make stuff. I saw two men, one of them being your father, and the other being your uncle. It was before all of this happened. Your uncle remained the same, while your father was... an old man." Chris said.

And before he spoke again, Krux started to wake up.

"And this next part... do not tell him that I said this." Chris said.

"Ok dada!" Blaire and Noah said.

"The Time Blades. Those blades held their powers that were taken from them, since they tried to control the world. They fought in the Serpentine Wars and then betrayed the Elemental Alliance. They fought in the battle of the Elemental Masters vs the Hands of Time." Chris explained. "How do I know all of this? Well... let's just say that a green ninja told me."

Very violent and ugly sobbing was heard. Sounds of hyperventilation was heard. Movement was heard and soon, two figures in armor ran out of the house.

"BABE! IM SORRY! IM SO SO SO SORRY! BABE DONT LEAVE!" Chris pleaded.

It was too late. They were gone. The door was wide open and soon, the news came on.

"Now for our live report... two men with black hair and in red and grey armor have been spotted running around and slowing and stopping people in time. We will now have a citizen tell us what they think."

"I think they're running from something, and it's a "get out of my way, I need to go somewhere" thing."

"It looks like they're heading towards the museum. We had to report on this since it looked... not normal. And because the city's too calm at the moment."

Chris turned the tv off.

"I caused this. It's my fault. I'm a horrible brother-in-law and a horrible husband." Chris said before he started to cry. "They left because of what I said! I should've just kept my mouth shut..."

"Will they come back?" Blaire asked.

"I don't know!" Chris replied through sobs.

"Where's Acronix?" Cyrus asked.

"He's gone... and so is Krux..." Chris replied.

"We will find them. No matter how long it takes, we will find them." Cyrus said.

"Are you sure?" Chris asked.

"I am positive. And do you have any idea to where they might have went?" Cyrus said.

"The news said that they're heading to the museum." Chris said.

"That's... odd. Why would they be going there if they have nothing but bad memories?" Cyrus asked.

"They either know someone there or they're trying to get in and hide..." Chris replied.
