Janus's P.O.V
Trigger Warning: Blood. My Aunt had pulled up into Patton's driveway with her mini van she uses for parties and knocked on the door frantically.
We all quickly got into the mini van and we were going to begin our long traffic filled journy to the hospital. It took over 2 hours to get there!
The first hour went by pretty slowly, they was tension in the atmosphere and everyone was pretty worried, even Remus. But every once in a while he said something completely inapropiate randomly and got shushed by everyone.
I kinda feel bad for him, he's just trying to change how they're feeling from sad to annoyed. He just wanted to distract them from what was happening.
The second hour was mostly traffic and people decided to play a weird game that Logan made. The rules were that was one person made a sentence and then another person trys to make another sentence that was kinda related to it but not entirely. It only made people feel guilty about not playing it with him there.
I don't blame them, the poor guy was in hospital and we were doing nothing useful. Only playing the game he made while he was suffering, who wouldn't feel bad?
We had finally arrived at the hospital and parked in A and E car park. All of us rushed slowly into the enterance to the room where Logan was being taken care of.
"Logan?" I mumbled to myself. He was a bloody mess. He hair was in tangles and his glasses on the table next to him were crushed. There were many scars on his face and bruises all on his arm that were drawn on top of.
I gasped in shock as I walked over to the side of his bed. What had happened to him?
"Wh-What happened t-to him..?" Patton asked a doctor near by.
"We suspect it was a suiside attempt but we aren't quite sure," The doctor answered truthfully.
I wish I could tell the plain truth as easy as the others.
Patton began hugging Logan's body in tears after the doctors and nurses left him almost alone. He was a mess, Patton's eyes were puffy and bloodshot and his face was red and covered in tears.
It hurts to see him like this. It hurts to see them both like this.
Aunt Nayomi was obviously trying to keep it together as she spook to the doctors about my cousin and how they could help. She doesn't need to stay strong. Her son almost died, no one can blame her for feeling like this.
I looked over to Roman, Remus, Remy, Emile and Virgil they were all holding hands for comfort. They really need it.
All five of them began walking over to me and Patton and embraced us both. I guess they knew we were extremely upset. Almost losing a loved one can be hard but losing family is just as bad. I began hugging Patton to be part of the group hug but also to support him. I couldn't image how I'd feel if he almost died.
We stayed in the soft warmth of the hug until one of the nurses told us we had to leave because visiting hours were almost over for the day.
All of us climbed back into the mini van and began driving in the now peaceful, traffic-less road all the way back to Patton's house. Aunt Nayomi thought it wouldn't be a good idea to leave us all alone so she let us stay.
Patton's dad put on a movie to distact us for the time being and was having pizza delivered to the house along with going to get some smoothies. He really was trying.
The pizza arrived everyone had at least one slice, appart from me. Everyone was speaking among themselfs decretly but I had this guilty conscience that I caused this. That I was the reason this happened to Logan. I didn't like him which made him hate himself.
I'm a bad person. I don't deserve being here. I don't deserve this pizza. I don't deserve these friends. I don't deserve Logan. I don't deserve Patton. I don't deserve anyone. And it took someone that I care about getting hurt for me to realise this.
"I'm not going to bed early," I told Patton as I went upstairs to the sleepover room, or more accurately, Patton's room.
I lied to them while lying. I'm not going to bed early. I just don't want to bother them.
Heck! They don't even know me. They only met me a few days ago. Patton probaly pityed me and didn't want to leave me out. He's so kind even to strangers. But why? Why doesn't he hate me like I hate what I've done?
I noticed from the corner of Pattons room, a window and conveniantly a tree right next to it. I walked over to the glass and opened it quietly so the others don't hear. A cold draft fleed into the once toasty room.
"They don't want me here," I told myself truthfully.
I put one leg out the window followed by the other, soon I was sitting on the ledge. All I need to do is to get to the tree.
I stretched my stiff body onto the tree cautiously, I didn't want to fall. I just want to save them the trouble of me being there. I slowly climbed down the large tree watching my every step carefully. Until I reached the garden. It was cold.
The fence was easy to climb so I leaped quickly over it. They'd be free of me. They'd be happier.
I had gotten into the front yard easily. Now to go home.
No. Not home.
She'd be disapointed in me. My only chance to make friends and I ran away from them. And who know's how she's dealing with what happened to Logan?
I'll just walk around til dawn, then I'll go home. Or to Aunt Nayomi's I could help her I guess. Yeah, that's what I'll do.
I began walking down the street away from Patton's house while they obliviously believe I'm still there. This is for the best. Isn't it?
