Chapter 25 - Patton Comes

Janus's P.O.V

A cold wind brushed against my cheek as my arms were covered in goose bumps.

My jacket was barely a barrier against the cold as I waited for Patton and his mother.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

Patton's mother beeped her car at me and I got into her car.

"Hi Janus!" Pattons cheery demeanor could always light up the darkest of my days.

"Hi Patty," I felt a warmth wrapped around my hand that I didn't realise was cold.

"Your hands are so cold, how long were you standing out there Jan?" Patton looked into my eyes with concern.

His eyes were a soft blue with patterns like waves in the sea.

I exhaled, "Not long, it was just a bit cold," I assured him.

"So, why were you here?" Patton's tone changed in an instant. He was obviously being cautious as to not accidentally hurt me.

I looked outside of the window behind Patton, "Um...my mum and Logan and Aunt..." I began, "There...There was a f-fi-fire..."

He turned my face towards his own and looked into my eyes, "You don't need to tell me if you're not ready Jan,"

His sweet smile flashed at me as I nodded.

~~~The Next Day~~~

I woke up with Pattons arms wrapped around me keeping me close to him.

His eyes slowly opened and a small smile appeared on his face as he looked at me cuddled close to him.

"Morning sunshine," I mumbled to him as he chuckled slightly bouncing my body up and then down.

"Good morning," He yawned as his arms unwrapped from my around my body and took the warmth away as he sat up.

His hair was adorably messy and he had clear freckles without his glasses on.

I moved my body over to were Patton was sleeping and put the duvet over my head.

Patton pulled the duvet off my head, "Come on Jammy, we gotta go to school,"

I laid there in my boxers as I had no clothes left, "I don't wanna," I put the pillow over my head.

"Pleeeeeeeaaaasssse," I got the pillow off my head and put it back.

"I have no clothes left Patty," My other clothes were smelling horrible and wearing them would be stupid.

"Here, you can borrow mine," He threw a baggy wool sweater, a light blue t-shirt and some trousers at me.

Soon we left to go to school. I had to borrow some other things so I wouldn't get detention again for something so trivial.
