Fight to survive

15. As the bodys pile up.

Blood stained the window as I saw the hand drop. I tapped Tamika on the shoulder and showed her the blood stain. "Oh My God! Is that Taetum?" Tamika asked me.

"I'm not sure. I sure as hell hope it's not her." I reply. "Stop the memorial!!! Everyone go in the shed NOW!!!" I yelled. Everyone just looks at me and then followed me into the shed. I see Taetum in there laying by the window covered in blood. "Taetum? Are you ok?" I asked realising that I probably sounded like an idiot considering she was unconscious or... dead. We all just looked at each other not knowing what to do.

"Is she dead?" Courtney asked in a brave tone.

"I-I-- I don't know." I answered.

"What should we do? Check her pulse?" Tanisha asked.

"Ew she's covered in blood who would want to touch that?" Tamika protested.

Tanisha just rolled her eyes and bent down to feel her pulse.

"The--There is nothing there. She's dead." Tanisha said. I didn't know what to do or what to say.

"How'd she die?" Dylan asked

"It was probably an attacker. She probably didn't see it and she just died." I replied. I looked over to Tanisha who looked really grossed out.

"I need some fresh air." She said walking out of the shed. I waved goodbye as I stared at Taetum's dead and bloody body.

"Should we go along with the burial?" Tamika asked.

"No. We should burry Taetum and Felicity at the same time." I replied hoping that everyone else agreed.

"I agree they were best friends so it would make sense that they would be buried together." Courtney said. I smiled at Courtney, she smiled back. I was getting hungry so I decided to look through the box of muesli bars and found a Roll up. It was unhealthy and I was never aloud them but I was going to die so YOLO. I had always hated the term Yolo before entering The Hunt but ever since I was in the arena I begun to understand it more. I threw a roll up to each of my friends and ate mine quickly.

I was sitting in the corner of the shed with my head in my hands. I was tires and had hardly had any sleep. Every time I was just sitting down doing nothing I thought I would jut fall asleep. My eyes felt heavy and droopy. I couldn't stop yawning all day, I just wanted to curl up into a ball and sleep. I was thinking about today's events when I had remembered that Tanisha went outside about 1 hour ago and hadn't come back inside. Crap! I got up and sprinted outside. I looked everywhere for her but she was no where in sight. I got out my map and looked for where she could have gone. I walked over to the weapon shed to see if she was in there. I looked inside the dark and dusty old shed. I shuddered at the sight of the weapons. Ugh I was getting distracted and needed to focus on finding Tanisha. I looked around and saw something that looked like a body in the dark far end corner. I ran over to it and sighed at what I saw. It was Tanisha. Her body was slumped over and her hair was thick full of blood but nothing else. It was strange I was 90% sure she was dead but there was a small 10% chance she was still alive. I crouched down to check her pulse. Nothing. She was dead. Tanisha should not have died like this. We should've at least know how she died. I teared up thinking that now there is only Tamika, Dylan Courtney and I left. Crap! Only 4 people.

"Here lies 3 amazing people. Beloved Daughters and friends. They will be greatly missed. It is with great an utter regret that we must burry them today. Felicity Warren, Taetum Parker and Tanisha Hall we thank you all for being such great friends and we hope you rest in peace." Courtney said. It was the usual routine, Courtney preached, Tamika laid the flowers and Dylan and I buried their bodies. I sighed in disappoint because this was all my fault. I wanted to cry and scream and punch something all at the same time. Courtney was crying. I felt bad for her so I walked over to her and gave her a big hug. We held on for a while and then let go. Tears rolled down her face, I wiped them away and she smiled.
"Thank you." She said.
"Ok Everyone listen up!" I yelled out. "The attackers have got Taetum and Tanisha when they were alone. No one go off alone ok? Stay in a pair never leave someone out of sight." everyone nodded there head in agreement. I am NOT going to let anyone else die!
