Many people had gone missing in the last few weeks. All disappearances went down the same way; forced entrance, but other then that there was nothing wrong with the home. Not even a scene that could suggest a struggle. Nothing. All they had to lead was the rock used to brake the window so the kidnapper could unlock the door. With the fact that the criminal wore gloves in factor, there was absolutely no evidence to point to anyone. To top everything off, the kidnappees didn't have anything in common, except randomly being kidnapped.
"Talk to me." The chief of police spoke with his rough voice and commanding tone. "What are we looking at?"
"The problem is what you are looking at. You need to focus on what you're not." The chief turned to the new voice at the scene, this voice was all too familiar to him. It was a voice that haunted him in his sleep. He turned and stared into the dark red eyes of the person who he despised with all his being.
"What are you doing here?" He asked harshly. "I don't remember allowing anyone else on the premise."
"It doesn't take much to get past those guards of yours." The second person spoke without a thought. The detest in the chief's voice didn't bother this new comer, but rather the opposite, it made the other quite happy that the chief was displeased.
"That wasn't the question." He countered as he felt his anger growing. "I din't ask how you got here. I asked-"
"Yes, yes." The other cut in waving a hand in the air then running it through their golden hair. "I know very well what your question was, but it is of little importance, correct?"
"Little importance?" The chief nodded. "Well, if you won't tell me then I need you off. Back to the dark hole you crawled from. You don't have any right to be here."
"I could go home," The blonde spoke shrugging. "it's not like the mayor pleaded for me to help and that you will be held responsible for my leaving." They turned to the caution tape surrounding the area to keep away by-passers. "Well then."
The chief shook his head. "The mayor asked you to come?" He tried to put the pieces together in his mind. "Clearly the mayor was running out of ideas if he called this one in." "Alright." He held the clipboard out to them and they took it and began to read.
After completely reading and understanding what was going on, the red-eyed one walked past the chief and toward the kitchen.
"I knew a lot about the case because of the others written in the papers, but it's still nice to read the polices personal notes." The second one person grinned. "You must understand the..." The other stopped to think for a moment before finding a word that gave them immense pleasure. "expertise, that a real police report has, helps the most."
"Just do your thing will you." The chief didn't want to be with this person one second more than needed, the sooner they did it and left, the better.
"Fine." The gold haired figure walked to the center of the room and closed their red eyes and concentrated on the scene. Placing both hands together and intertwining all the fingers in front of themselves, the other breathed in.
