You whipped around towards the source of the voice, only to see that there was nothing there. You looked around, confused and startled, before eventually sitting back down. As you faced forward a tall figure suddenly seemed to appear in front of you. It startled you so badly that you exclaimed and jumped back, knocking over the chair and sending it along with yourself tumbling to the floor. You quickly looked up at the abnormally tall figure, which was now looking down at you from the shadows. You met the figure's gaze and stared into its odd miscolored eyes, one green and one blue, the green one deviating from the path of the other eye every so often making it a bit difficult to tell exactly where it was looking. Once the figure stepped out of the darkness, it was a little less intimidating but still startling. It looked to be a mangy purple cat wearing what looked to be a tattered and old lab coat and uniform of some sort. He looked extremely skinny, abnormally tall of course, and wore a huge smile on his face as he offered a hand to help you up.

"Sorry! Mystery didn't mean to scare you-"
"W-who are you?" You asked, ignoring his hand.
"Well, I'm Mystery! Dr. Mystery!" You slowly stood up as 'Mystery' began to introduce himself.
"How did you- wait, when did you-" You stumbled for words. You weren't quite sure what to say to this... guy. Where did he come from? Why was he here? You looked down in thought. Wait-he was the figure that was in the picture! But wouldn't that mean...

"Hey, what a minute... have you been watching me?" You looked back up at him, finally able to put together a sentence.
"Huh? What do you mean?" He met your gaze with a look of confusion. Well, halfway met your gaze with one eye as the other floated off to the side again, but you tried your best to ignore it.
"You were in the picture I took! You were standing... There! Right over there!" You turned and pointed out the specific spot you had taken the picture at.
"Oh yeah! I saw you come in and start taking pictures, but I was confused because Mystery doesn't get visitors very often... so I... observed you while you took pictures of my drawings! I'm glad you like them, Mystery worked very hard on them!" Wait...'visitors'?...'my drawings'? What was this guy talking about? Okay, whatever, you just needed to get out of there.

"Okay, well do you know how I can get out of here? The door I came through got stuck-"
"What?! You cant leave! You just got here! You haven't even introduced yourself yet!" He exclaimed putting his arms out as if to stop you.
"...Look, I really need to get home, if I don't get home soon then my friends are going to get worried and-"
"Friends?! Oh! I can be your friend!" It would have been great if he would just let you finish your sentences.

"What? -look, listen, I need to find a way out of here so I can go home." Mystery finally let you speak and for a second it seemed like he had actually listened, but he just must not have cared.
"So what's your name?" He asked after a few seconds of silence, motioning his gloved hand over towards you. You just stood there for a second. You were honestly getting really frustrated with this 'Mystery' guy. You let out a sigh.
"Look, I don't have time for this, I have to get home before it gets dark-"
"Well, you can always just stay here with Mystery!" He interrupted you yet again. At this point, you were very frustrated.
"I can't just stay in an abandoned hospital with some crazy guy! Look, can you just tell me a way to get out?!" Your response didn't seem to make him too happy. His smile quickly faded and turned into an annoyed expression.

"Abandoned? This is Mystery's hospital. And Mystery's not- I'm not..." He trailed off. Then, just as fast as it happened, his annoyed expression faded back to his happy one.
"Anyways, you still haven't told Mystery your name yet!" He insisted once again, with an even bigger smile than before. You stood still for a moment wondering what you should do. This guy was no help, so you just decided to turn away without another word. You began to walk away in the opposite direction when all of sudden you felt Mystery grab your arm and yank you back towards him quite harshly.

"Hey!" Was all you could exclaim in surprise as you were yanked back.
"No no no no! You're not leaving yet!"
