You opened your mouth to defend yourself but decided against it. The silence that followed was deafening. Mystery turned away from you as if in thought.
"You stole from Mystery... You LIED to Mystery..." All the joy and happiness from his voice was long gone.
"I didn't mean-"
"Shut up, I'm not stupid." He cut you off, the bitter remark catching you off guard. He turned back to face you, his now angry expression sending a wave of fear through you. He snatched the key out of your hands, once again catching you by surprise.
"Mystery really thought you cared," He said looking down at the key thoughtfully, "but your nothing but a liar and a thief, huh?" Mystery glanced back down at you as if awaiting a reply. You opened your mouth to say something, but no sound came out. You wanted to speak, move, or at least do something but were essentially frozen to the spot. He scoffed at your lack of reaction.

"Do you know what happens to liars? Do you know where they go?" He said with a sinister smile beginning to form on his face. The only thing you could do at the moment was slightly tremble in fear as he slowly approached you. You mustered up enough courage to shake your head no, Mystery towering over you now.
"Well your about to find out." He suddenly grabbed your wrist and yanked you along with him causing you to fall on your back, but instead of stopping he quite literally began dragging you through the halls. You tried to pull your hand out of his grasp, but he had a death grip on your wrist.

"Hey! L-let me go!" You tried to get his attention, but he still didn't slow his pace.
"Mystery-"
"It's DR. MYSTERY!" Mystery shouted back at you, still not loosening his grip on your wrist and definitely not slowing down. In fact, it seemed like he began walking a bit faster. Mystery finally stopped at a door in an area you didn't recognize. He quickly opened the door and harshly yanked your wrist and threw you into the dark room. You let out a small pained cry as you once again hit the ground. You quickly picked yourself up and ran back towards the door.

"No, wait-" You were quickly interrupted as Mystery slammed the door, leaving you in total darkness and not a clue to where you were or what had just happened.

The first thing you did was try to open the door, but of course, it was locked from the outside. You began looking around the small room, waiting for your eyes to adjust to the darkness, but they never seemed to. You blinked a few times and could barely tell if your eyes were open or closed. It was like you were standing in an infinite world of darkness. If you were staring at your own death you wouldn't have realized because of the crushing darkness which devoured the room. It was suffocating. It was sickening. You had to get out, you had to see something other than the inky black abyss which trapped you like a box.

"Hey! HEY! Get me out of here!" You yelled, panic beginning to seep into your voice as you banged on the door as hard as you could. After a few moments without a response, you slowly backed away from the door, feeling as if the darkness was closing in around you, making it even harder to breathe. Your back eventually hit a wall, you slid down it and curled up into a little ball as if to comfort yourself somehow. Why had he gotten so mad all of a sudden? Why had he thrown you in here? You wanted to go home. Or anywhere but there, for that matter.

You laid there on the floor for what had to have been at least a few hours, barely moving at all. The pain in your head was a consequence of your wandering mind. Suddenly you heard the door creak open and saw a sliver of light pierce the sickening blackness like a knife until you were actually able to see the room. You winced at first, your eyes not used to the light, then sighed a sigh of relief. The room wasn't that big, and it was empty for the most part. The main aspect of the room was the word "LIAR" written messily in red all along the walls. The only object in the room was a worn wooden chair placed in the center of the room. You ignored the accusations scrawled on the walls and once again focused your attention on the door as a long shadow cast itself on the wall.
