You trudged back to the same room that you felt like you had been in for years, but in reality, it had only been three or four hours. Now you really were exhausted. You plopped down on the bed and stared up at the ceiling. You wanted to think, but that ceiling distracted you. That same ceiling. You closed your eyes just so you didn't have to look at it. You just wanted to think over what just happened. Did you do the right thing by leaving Mystery alone? What if he fainted again? Then you began to think: Why were you so worried about him in the first place? He was technically keeping you here against your will, and you're still worried about him? You struggled to find an answer for yourself. Your mind wandered to other things as you drifted further and further from reality.

To your surprise, when you opened your eyes, it was already morning. You had no idea you had fallen asleep. You jumped out of bed and made your way to the door. At least the room looked a little different in the morning light, but you still didn't hesitate to swing open the door and step out into the hallway. You peeked into Mystery's room just to see if he was alright.
"Hello-" You said, sticking your head into the room before realizing he wasn't there. You looked around and noticed a piece of paper taped on the wall that you hadn't recalled seeing the night before. You walked up to it before gently peeling it from the wall to read it. It was a bit difficult to read, the handwriting was messy and some of the letters were backwards almost as if a child had written it.

"Good morning! Mystery knows how much you worry so I wrote you a note! Mystery is in the courtyard if you need me!
-Your friend, Dr. Mystery"

How much you worry? what was that supposed to mean? You noticed something else written at the very bottom of the paper with a little arrow next to it.

"P.S: Look on the back of this paper"

You flipped over the paper only to be greeted with a drawing of... yourself. It resembled a children's drawing, just a few simple shapes and lines though you were still able to recognize that it was supposed to be you. Beneath it was written "Friend Y/N" in the same handwriting that was on the front of the note. You turned to walk out of the room, still looking down at the drawing in your hands. Before you even made it two steps towards the door, you suddenly tripped over something, causing you to drop the paper and fall to the floor. You quickly picked yourself up, grabbed the paper and glanced over at what you tripped on. It was that weird doll- or Mago or whatever Mystery called it. You put it back in its original position. It had an odd felt-like texture and must have been very old because it seemed very worn and dirty. You wondered where he had gotten the thing from. As you turned your attention from the doll back to the door, you noticed something shiny out of the corner of your eye.

You looked down towards the source of the light, and on the floor in front of you was a small brass key. You were confused for a moment, you were sure it wasn't there before. It must of fallen out of Mago. You carefully picked it up, inspecting it further. You looked at the small wooden box against the wall. That must be what it opened. Suddenly you were filled with curiosity for what could be inside. You thought for a moment. Did you really want to snoop through his things? You quickly decided against it. You were about to return the key to its original place when a cheerful voice interrupted you.

"Hello! Good to see your awake!" Mystery said as he entered the room, making you jump a little. You quickly hid the key in your pocket, not wanting him to think that you actually were going through his stuff. You would have to put it back later.
"Did you see the drawing Mystery made for you?" You looked down at the drawing still in your hands, trying to refocus.
"Oh- uh, yes it's very nice-" Before you could even finish your sentence he scooped you up into a hug.
"Mystery is so glad you like it!" He said, still holding you. You were probably an entire foot off the ground.
"Uh... your welcome..." You said. You would have returned the embrace, but you couldn't move your arms. He must have realized and finally put you down. You stood there awkwardly for a few seconds.

"So um... are you feeling any better?" You asked, remembering last night.
"Huh? What do mean?" He replied like he didn't know what you were talking about.
"Remember? Last night?" Mystery seemingly thought for a moment.
"Oh, you're still worried about that? Hee hee! Your funny!" You looked up at him in confusion.
"What do you mean- you were sick and passed out, remember?" You said, still confused as to why he was laughing.
"Mystery's fine! See, you worry too much!" He said matter-of-factly, reminding you of what you had been thinking about before you fell asleep. Mystery finally stopped laughing and you both stood there in silence for a few seconds. Suddenly, he grabbed your hand, snapping you out of your thoughts.
"Come on, let's go play a game!" He said as he began leading you to an unknown destination.
