You hurried to catch up with Mystery. He went back to the drawing room to grab some crayons and told you to do so as well since his pockets could only hold so many. You grabbed a few random colors you liked and followed Mystery to the room you had been staying in.
"Alright, I'm going to use this wall, and you can use that one!" Mystery pointed to the wall the bed was up against. You walked over to it, once again unsure of what to do. You looked back over to Mystery, who had already started to draw what looked like a sky with a sun and a few clouds. You decided to do something similar, but instead of a sunny sky, you wanted to draw a night sky. You thought it would look sort of neat. You began drawing on the wall, already starting to feel like a little kid again.
It had been maybe an hour, you and Mystery were so focused on the walls you were working on you had lost track of time. You had finished, and it seemed like Mystery was just finishing up, too. You went over to check it out. It was very colorful and admittedly a little sloppy, but you knew it was just Mystery's childlike way of drawing things. You noticed the flowers and grass he drew at the bottom along the floor, along with what looked like vines with little yellow and white flowers attached.
"Are those honeysuckle?" You asked, looking at the wall.
"Mhm! Mystery decided to draw them on the wall since you like them so much, that way you'll always be able to look at them!"
"Aww, that's so nice of you..." You continued looking at the wall. He seemed to have put a lot of effort into it, almost the entire wall was covered, with very little blank space.
"It looks very pretty, where did you ever learn how to draw?" You asked, finally turning your attention back to him.
"Mystery learned all by himself!" He stated proudly. Mystery turned to observe the wall that you had drawn on.
"Well, Mystery thinks yours is very pretty too! Did you teach yourself how to draw too?" You nodded in response.
"Wow!" Mystery eyed what you drew on the wall, he generally seemed impressed. "...Can you maybe teach Mystery how to draw too sometime?" He turned back to you.
"I think you're already a pretty good artist, but sure, if you want!" You answered sincerely.
"Yay! You're super-duper awesome!" He happily replied.
You both stood there for a few moments, wondering what to do next. It wasn't too long before you heard a familiar gnawing sound and turned to see Mystery eating yet another crayon.
"Hey Mystery, if you're hungry why don't we go back out to the garden and find something instead of eating crayons?" You suggested.
"Really? But it's raining!" He motioned to outside.
"So?" You shrugged.
"Well... Mystery doesn't like the rain very much..." He admitted.
"That's okay, I can go out and get you something if you want." You offered, though he still declined.
"It's okay, Mystery's not hungry!" Mystery claimed, the half-eaten crayon still in his hand.
"Then why are you eating a crayon?" You asked. He crossed his arms.
"Because Mystery wants to." You rolled your eyes and figured that it was not worth arguing with him.
After a little bit, Mystery took you to another room so he could draw something else on the wall. You sat on one of the beds in the room and watched him joyfully draw some doodles on the wall, it was quite entertaining. After maybe twenty or thirty minutes though he stopped and went laid down on the other bed on the opposite side of the room, with his head and half of his body hanging upside down off of the bed.
"So, what should we do now?" You asked Mystery after a minute or two.
"Well, if you're bored we could always play a game!" He suggested, rolling over onto his stomach and propping his head up with his hands.
"Like what?" You asked.
"Ooh! Why don't we play doctor? That's Mystery's most favoritest game!" He seemed rather excited about it, so you agreed. Mystery jumped off the bed in excitement and nearly yanked you off of the other bed.
You were brought to a room which you had never been in before. You were beginning to wonder how many rooms exactly were in this place. It looked a bit eerie, the lack of light in the room leaving it a bit dark and you couldn't exactly tell what was in the room. You were starting to get a little worried until Mystery pulled a cord hanging from the ceiling and- to your surprise- a light bulb flickered to life, although it was rather dim. You were surprised there was still electricity in this place, and you wondered why Mystery never turned any lights on. He quickly motioned for you to sit down on a metal table in the corner of the room. It almost looked like an old surgical table. You began to get worried again. However, despite your worries, you listened anyway and sat down on the cold metal table. Besides, you didn't think he would try to hurt you again. You looked around the room a bit in the dim lighting as Mystery rummaged through an old cardboard box on the other side of the room. You looked over to your right and spotted a dark stain on the table. You really hope that wasn't what you thought it was, but it sure did amplify your fears.
Mystery finally found what he was looking for in the box. He turned towards you, but before you could see what he had in his hand the room suddenly went dark. The light had gone out.
"Oh noes!" You heard Mystery exclaim from somewhere in the darkness.
"Stupid light!" You heard, followed by the sound of him repeatedly yanking on the cord in an attempt to get it to turn back on, but to no avail. You jumped off the table, trying to feel your way around the room. Suddenly, you bumped into Mystery.
"Oh hi!
"H-hey Mystery?" You asked, still not able to see anything.
"Can we maybe do something else?" You asked as politely as you could. Mystery went silent for a second.
"...Okay! We will try to play doctor another time when the light isn't being stupid!" You were going to try to find the door out of the room, but Mystery had already found it and swung it open. You stepped out into the hallway with Mystery, letting out a breath you didn't know you had been holding, though you felt a bit bad for not entirely trusting Mystery.
"Mystery has another idea!" He exclaimed, grabbing your hand. "Here, follow me, I want to show you something!"
