I opened the door and there stood Miles. I threw my arms around him and hugged him as tight as I could making him almost fall over, I heard him laughing as I hugged him awkwardly but he soon hugged me too making me feel comfy. I pulled away after a couple minutes then as Miles was about to say something but I slapped him in the face really hard, his face whipped to the side and I smiled. He deserves it, stupid brother didn't even bother talking to me for so long.
'What the hell was that for?!' His humour had disappeared and there was only anger in his face when it should be me who should be having the anger because he hid such big things from me for so long!
'I'm your sister! You kept this secret from me for my whole life and you don't even have the decency to call me, but you can call this fricking house's number!' I hit him in the arm making him back away from me as I continued to hit him. 'Stop backing away from me! You are someone who's in a gang yet you can't stand still while I hit you!'
'Because you are my sister, and you hit hard because I was the one that taught you where to find someone's weak spot!' He shouted as we were now in the hallway, I caught a glimpse of Tristan to my left but ignored him as me and Miles argued. 'Are you saying that since I'm pregnant, I got stronger? Or are you saying that I used to be weak?'
'Neither you idiot! Can't you just shut up and greet me like a normal sister would do?' That made me hit him again and he glared at me so I glared back.
'I did, but you decided to be a jerk of an older brother and not speak to me, what kind of brother does that make you!? You leave me here with him and don't call, text nor do you write! I feel so sorry for the poor woman that has to marry you in the future because instead of a brain you have a peanut!' I shouted at him, childishly.
'Fine, I'll go. Don't expect me to come back and be a big brother to your pregnant whale like self.' I gasped at his words while he smirked at me then walked down the stairs with his head held high. I followed him down the stairs very slowly because it was hard of me to walk fast and before he could reach the door, I smacked him on the back of the head making him turn to me. He looked angry but then his features softened and came towards me, giving me a hug.
'You are so annoying Ki.' He told me as we continued to hug and this was not an award hug because of my tummy. 'Let's go out and eat okay?' Baby boy started kicking my stomach once he heard the word eat meaning food, meaning yummy.
We drove to Taco Bell and the drive was filled with laughter and happiness, like the last couple weeks didn't happen but I could see the worried looks he kept sending me during our conversations. I know he was being protective but I was still annoyed at the fact that he hadn't told me something as big as this all my life, I grew up oblivious to everything. Once we got out food, we decided to go sit outside since it was a fairly sunny day with a couple clouds but not dark clouds to say that it was going to rain.
'So tell me everything, from how you became someone in a gang.' I noticed the way Miles shifted uncomfortably in his seat but he still opened his mouth to answer.
'Well, I am not just someone in a gang now. I'm a gang leader, didn't Tristan tell you?' I thought back and remembered something about this but shrugged my shoulders. 'Okay, well it started when mom and dad used to fight. Remember that time I walked out? I met some guys who were friends with my friends, my friends were there too and they were smoking so I thought I should try. That's why I would come home late, I would be smoking and drinking but I didn't start doing drugs till I was 16.'
'That doesn't make things better!' I squealed in shock.
'Shut up.' I rolled my eyes but listened to the rest of his story. 'While I was doing all these things, by the time I was 15 I was let's say...enrolled into a gang where I had to get drugs, change them for money then things got a little more rough with weapons and shit.' I winced when he swore and he returned it with a sheepish smile. 'Sorry. Anyway, I was more into doing things for my boss and soon I started fighting. Mom...she noticed my behaviour at times but even she couldn't have stopped me. I was in my own little world, trying to get away from everything at home.
'Boss and I were close, he had a son who is now about 40 but he didn't want anything to do with the gang and his father accepted that so he made me the leader of his gang before he passed. He was a strict guy but he knew his shit, didn't want any trouble with other gangs just clean shit. He wasn't a good guy but he made sure we were all safe including his own family, his wife is still alive and damn their past is so amazing. His son is a doctor or some high job, wife and three kids.
'Thing is, even though boss was a guy who gave chances there was still some things him and Tristan didn't agree with. I don't know the full story but I know it doesn't have anything to do with Tristan, we just grew up hating each other as odd as that sounds. He and I always used to fight whenever we saw each other, just to prove that one of us are stronger than the other.' He chuckled. 'Seems stupid doesn't it? I guess we kind of stopped because he knocked you up. Can't be killing my nephew's kid now can I?' He nudged shoulders with mine making me smile.
'How come you never told me before?' This time, Miles rolled his eyes.
'Are you that dense? It's to protect you idiot. If word went around that I had a sister, then people would be ...' He stopped talking when he noticed that the worse had already happened. 'I love you baby sis, and I'm going to find this guy and kill him. I don't care how close he is to me, no one hurts family.' He says, hugging me to him and kissing my forehead.
'Love you too Miley.' I teased. He hated that nickname and still did as I heard the groan and the glare he gave me as he looked down at me. 'You're lucky you're my sister. Now come on, eat up and we can go back to that ass' home.' I groaned while he laughed.
'Why can't I come stay with you?' I questioned as I bit into the delicious food.
'Well, Tristan can protect you more than I can and plus he is your baby daddy.' He laughed while I glared at him. 'But seriously though, when I mean that he can protect you more than I can, I'm being serious. Even though I am your older brother and I claim to have a stable and good gang, Tristan has more people in his gang who are much...brutal...when it comes to, stuff.' He ended.
'Okay, I get it. But from now on, you cannot keep secrets from me okay?' He nodded and we ate our food till we were full, by we I am also including this baby inside me. We took Miles' car back to the stupid idiot's house and saying bye to each other, I walked inside sighing.
'You're home.' I heard Tristan say as I took myshoes off near the door. His comment made me think..."I really wasn'thome."
