The streets were quiet, the skies were turning dark and the air was humid with the strong stench of piss. Part of me was surprised that William asked for a place like this because when I met him, he seem the rich and snobby type, the ones that look at others who don't have much with disgust. Going down that street made me thank God that I didn't bring my car down here or it would have been stolen judging by the broken windows on cars and rustic paints.

What I was doing was stupid, I knew that and so did God but there was no way that he was staying alive with the things he has done. My thoughts went to my mother, she was now in hospital probably lying on a bed with tubes and machines hooked up to her while only two or three people surrounded her bed. Flowers and a card was all she needed from me, she didn't need my presence, nor did she need my help because I was never anything to her.

All my life, I was trying to please her even when those guys would come into my room, I would shut my mouth and get what apparently I deserved. If she was happy then I would do it to avoid her sadness and her beating especially the extra men that she sometimes would send to my room. I always thought about it as something that wouldn't happen for long, it was so we could live, we needed the money and I was the person that could earn it. Lay there and take it like a woman at ten to sixteen.

My thoughts were interrupted when the building that William asked for was in front of me making me smirk. Someone came out of the building, or more like estate giving me a chance to slip through the gap before the door closed behind me with a loud clang. It wasn't exactly a nice place to live but it wasn't the worst. The strong smell of piss clouded the halls and the drip of water from a nearby pipe filled the silence of the empty floors.

What the hell was I doing here? I knew no one here and there was anyone here meaning that I couldn't ask anyone if they knew where William lived. Great plan I had, note the sarcasm. I turned back to the door that I came in from when I heard someone's footsteps behind me to see a business woman that looked like she didn't live here and more someone who looked like she would live somewhere like a mansion.

'Hey, excuse me?' I asked politely, making sure that my gun wasn't in view of her. She looked up at me and smiled. Now the woman didn't look as if she was evil like those other rich snobby people would be, she stepped closer towards me with the same smile on her face. 'Do you know where William...William, erm...' I realised that I didn't know what William's surname was but it looked as if she knew who I was talking about.

'William? Tall, light brown hair and blue eyes?' I didn't what colour were his eyes but seriously, what kind of description would you give for an attacker? 'Yeah, he's a little on the bulky but not so bulky side.' Lord, I knew I wasn't making sense. She nodded and smiled, well that was a little too easy but my judgement on her changed a little when she started speaking.

'I suggest that you break up with him when you can because he's getting married.' Well, I guess he didn't keep the news of him getting married away from a lot of people. I chuckled slightly awkwardly as an act obviously even though acting wasn't my best things since I couldn't live without getting caught but hey ho. 'He's getting married to my mom actually and I was going to have one of those talks with him.' The woman looked at me before laughing as heat crept up her neck.'

'I apologise. Head on to the fourth floor and he should be on the door on the left. Shouldn't be too hard to find since there's only two apartments. Congratulations to your mom by the way. I wish her and you the best.' She said before squeezing my arm and going out the door. I smiled towards her then looked up at the stairs, breathing in and out before making my way to make a killing.

Bile rose up my throat as my stomach tied up in thick knots with each floor I passed as I went up the stairs. The moment I got to William's door, like the woman said it wasn't too hard to find, I knocked on it three times as I got my gun ready I mean this wasn't going to be the most nicest killing. When the door opened, the second I saw William I pushed him back inside the apartment with my gun held high as I kicked the door shut.

'Nice to see you here, but why with a gun?' He seemed too calm for this, even with his hands raised up in the air as surrender. 'I know who you are and trust me, it shouldn't be nice to see me here.' I raised the gun higher in the air so he knew that he should be scared that I was being serious that I was going to kill him but it had the opposite effect on him.

I looked around the apartment and then back at William who kept his eyes on the gun in my hands making me chuckle. 'Nice place you got here. Didn't you get money after attacking me and almost killing both me and my kid? Does my mom know that you live in a place like this or did the person that sent you to kill me arrange a bigger nicer house as a show for her to be pleased?'

'She doesn't know where I live. She was just attracted to me after knowing me for a couple months, I then brought up the question for her to marry me.' I laughed humourlessly at him before shaking my head as he avoided the question.

'Drop that bullshit accent of yours. My mother might have bought it but I sure as hell don't.' I took a step forward to him, knowing that it wasn't a safe choice right now but I wanted answers. 'Why did you kill her?' He had a look of confusion cover his face but I knew he was lying. I couldn't forget his eyes that attack me and neither would I believe his lie.

'Leah, my best friend. Why plant the bomb? Why try and kill three of my best friends?' This time he was the one to chuckle but he chuckled as if this was very funny to him.

'There is nothing anyone can hide from you is there?' He didn't move but he did manage to send a shiver up my spine after he chuckled. Instead he moved away from me a little more making me move my gun slightly but he still kept his hands up. 'Someone did send me to kill your pregnant ass but that plan changed and we decided to scare you a little. After that worked out, we stayed low for a couple months and that worked out fine. Congrats on the baby by the way.

'Anyway, after you had the baby we decided it was time for a surprise. In I came to your life, just to see if you remember anything so I had practically used your mom which was quite nice. For a mother of two, she does have an amazing body.' I gaged inwardly but I continued listening to everything he had to say. 'Then when I knew that you remembered me, because how could you not with my eyes? We decided to do a little something else and there you have the bomb which was something really nice.'

'What's the reason behind all of this, why try kill me? Why plant a bomb?' My lips trembled as I spoke the words but I didn't dare let down my guard or my gun. 'You had the gang leader's kid, that kid is so special that you don't even realise. Heck, his blood is worth a million dollars but he is worth so much more.'

'So all of this is to get my baby, just because selling him can earn you money?'

'That's just about it really.' He said, clapping his hands together. I wanted to laugh so bad at the reason, so damn bad but the only thing going through my mind was killing him. 'Why tell me the plan, why tell me all of this?

'Why not? It's not like you're going to live anyway.'

'I'm the fucking one with the gun and I swear to fuck, I won't be the one who ends up dead. It will be you because you killed my best friend, you hurt my cousin and you hurt a teenage girl who's pregnant not only that but you used my mom and you hurt my kid.'

'You think I'd be scared of a girl with a gun in her hand?' He stepped closer to me but stopped. 'I attacked you and you think that you can kill me just like that?' What I didn't expect was for him to bring out a gun of his own making me dropped the gun a little in my hands.

Just as I turned around, my eyes saw someone who I didn't think I would ever see again but my shock was gone instantly the moment that person said, "Sleep tight, Little Ki" before something hit the back of my head, knocking me out instantly. All that I could see now was the blurry images of the people above me as I was turned over, they laughed above me as my vision slowly became more hazy till finally, I was filled with darkness.
