Everything checked out fine at the doctors' office and she said that I didn't have anything to worry about but that all changed when she took my blood pressure and saw the number, that was when she told me to try keep my stress levels to a minimal or I would be having a lot of pains and I would be passing out or the baby would be born early.
I reassured her that I would be fine, and that was no lie because I would be just needed to move out of Tristan's house and that would be all the stress disappearing from my life. That wouldn't be easy though, plus I did promise Miles that I would try get along with Tristan but that didn't seem to be working out since I found out that Tristan killed someone.
Now thinking more into it, Miles has also killed. That feeling unsettled in me and I didn't like the fact that I was surrounded by people who killed and bribed or blackmailed for a living, barring Layla and Leah; but then again Layla knew about all of this so she could have killed too.
By the time I stopped at a traffic light, my head starting hurting and bile rose up my throat at the fact of my brother's hands being in blood and same with my cousin, my baby's father and also everyone I had saw in that office that Tristan works at. I took the oasis that sat in my car and drank a big gulp of it then breathed slowly, letting my mind clear and getting rid of all those nasty thought.
I got home and parked the car in the driveway, after turning the ignition off I just sat in the car making sure that I wasn't going to throw up once I got out of the car. Once I made sure I wasn't going to throw up, I got out of the car with my purse and closed the door, locking it before walking to the front door and turning the key in the lock so it opened; that's what I normally would have done but now, the door was open and not just the opened where the door wasn't locked, I mean open open.
What's even weirder is that when I walked in with a confused look, I saw Blake on the floor clearing up what looked like glass and when he saw me he gave me a smile then continued back to clearing up the smashed pieces of what looked like one of the what I'm hoping, wasn't expensive glasses now that I had walked a little closer to see the damage.
'What happened here?' I asked Blake looking at the mirror then back at Blake. If I could take a picture right now, I so would because he was on his hands and knees cleaning the floor or clearing up glass from the floor, the only thing missing was the maid outfit.
'Tristan had a hissy fit after a girl came here. Pregnant girl, young and sweet looking and defiantly not his type.' Aimee was here, but why all this destruction? Giving a small smile to Blake, I made my way out of the room before I heard footsteps coming towards me and saw Blake with an exhausted expression on his face as he just ran. 'Don't go up there. He's angry as hell, the angriest he has been with any girl at least.'
'I'll be fine. He won't hurt me, he knows what happens if he does.' He shrugged his shoulders at me and gave me a pity look before I made my way up the stairs, taking my time as I would get very sweaty once I got to the top of the stairs. I walked towards "our" bedroom and walked in without knocking; Tristan wasn't in here but before I could go downstairs, I saw the bathroom door open so I walked in there to see the mirror smashed to little bits and pieces and also small drops of blood.
'He's not upstairs.' I said once I came back downstairs. Blake had stopped clearing up the glass and it looked just like it had done before, what do you think he will do once he sees the broken mirror upstairs? 'Then he's in the garage.'
'Doing what?' I asked as Blake walked passed me. He looked at me, giving me a little smirk then said, 'Doing what he does when someone pisses him off. Go see for yourself.' I wasn't too sure about this but now there was nothing I could do because Blake just walked out the house; breathing in deeply, I made myself walk to the back door where there was a huge backyard and a couple yards away was a kind of big garage.
Never have I ever walked in there but now that would change. It took me a while to get there because I was in these irritating shoes or it was because my feet got so swollen that they got twice to their size and now were aching my feet. However, once I did get to the garage I opened the door and was feeling a little queasy because of the thick smell of petrol and other things that I didn't recognise.
I had to see if Tristan was alright or at least ask him what happened so I continued to walk in there trying to ignore the smell. I heard grunts coming from inside and the thick sound of slaps or hit, the further I got in, the louder it got until I saw Tristan clearly standing in the middle and repeatedly punching a punching bag.
He was only wearing a pair of grey sweats which were hung low on his hips and trainers on his feet while the upper part of him was bare showing off his muscular body and even more muscular arms as they were tense when he was punching the big black bag that went back and forth. I cautiously took a step forward, noticing how angry he was and how hard his punches were also noticing some scars that were on his back and little one on his hips.
I remembered him telling me about the bullet wounds he got the night I first met him but I thought he was just telling me lies to get into my panties so I chose to believe them then forgot about them till now; I could now see that he actually was telling me the truth.
'Why are you here?' I gasped when I heard his voice echo through the garage but ignored my fast beating heart and answered him. 'I heard Aimee came here. Blake was cleaning up glass when I came home and the mirror was smashed in the bathroom.
You mind telling me exactly what she did or was it her appearance that bothered you?' My tone came out harsher than I expected but it would stay for now. A threatening chuckle came out of Tristan then another strong punch was sent to the punching bag before Tristan caught it, steadying it.
'Why do you care?' He asked me, moving towards his workbench where he had a water bottle sitting there. He eyed me as he drank a couple big gulps out of the water then took the bottle out of his mouth, breathing hard. 'You're hurt.' I said, my eyes flickering to his hand.
'No. No, don't you dare talk as if you care about me or anything to do with me. I'm just a motherfucking killer to you Kihanna and that's all, all I'm ever going to do is make deals with the wrong people and continue to kill if someone crosses the line. I'm putting this baby in danger as well as you and I have done for the last couple of months and so has Miles.'
'That has nothing to do with it, now let me see your hand.' I said quietly. I jumped when Tristan slammed his water bottle down on the workbench before walking to me with long steps and finally standing in front of me with his eyes filled with anger and fists red but raging with anger.
'Why the fuck can't you see that I'm putting your life in danger, I'm putting this baby's life in danger; your baby. I'm a fucking killer and you even told me yourself, you are disgusted with me you can't even bare to see me let alone be near me. Why the hell do you have to do this to me Kihanna? Can't you fucking see the bad asshole I fucking am? Everyone was fucking ashamed of me, everyone is constantly reminding me each day that I kill for a living yet you are standing here in front of me asking me for you to take care of me? I haven't gotten any help from anybody for myself, so what makes you think I need yours?' He snarled.
'Because I'm carrying our child. Now give me your hand and stop acting as if you want to scare me, it's not going to happen anymore because you are weak to me. Not strong but weak, I don't care that no one has taken care of you because that's the past Tristan.' Tristan took a step back, moving away from me and giving me this look which was mixed between confusion and something I couldn't tell. I huffed and grabbed his wrist, pulling him to the exit of the garage but it was impossible since he was built of steel in the end though he yanked his wrist out of my grip and started walking side by side with me into the house.
We both walked into the bathroom where there was the smashed mirror but I ignored it and looked for the first aid kit then turned to see Tristan staring at the broken mirror so I waved my hand in front of his face which seemed to get him back to reality. He went in the bedroom and sat down on the bed as I took out the necessary things while feeling and trying to ignore Tristan's intense gaze on me. Turning back to him, I saw that I was right his gaze was on me as if he was trying to investigate me or inspect me but I ignored those looks and continued to take away the dried blood on his hands while avoiding looking at his body; Tristan just sat there not doing anything.
'Am I becoming like my father?' My eyes flickered to Tristan's eyes and for the first time, they held something else rather than amusement and anger. That was a question I didn't know how to answer
