daniel sighed, and flopped on his bed. he changed from his suit and tie to a gray t-shirt and black sweatpants, but as he switched clothes, he couldn't stop thinking about why mackenzie was acting so weird.

"maybe she doesn't want to be my friend anymore," daniel sighed, talking to himself, "we used to be such good friends, and now she just avoids me. i never asked out charlotte because her and mackenzie are best friends, but if mackenzie isn't my friend anymore, i might as well make a move."

daniel let out a deep breath, staring directly at his white coffee mug. unsurprisingly, he was thinking about mackenzie and where their friendship stands.

"you seem sad, daniel," charlotte mentioned, studying his facial expressions, "is everything okay? what's wrong?"

"oh, u-um nothing important," daniel stuttered, snapping out of his thoughts, "um, char, do you want to be my girlfriend?"

charlotte's face lit up, smiling wider than she ever had before, "of course, daniel, i'd love to be your girlfriend."
