"Why so flustered, sweetheart?" The speech continued. Gray was fixed in his place, shield in hand. I was wondering why he wasn't flinging it onto my attacker.
"Wh- What?"
The hand traveled up my jaw, now pressing against my cheeks. This time, however, their grip was firmer - bitter and furious.
Swiftly, Gray began to gag, tears streaming down his face as he collapsed on the ground in hilarity.
What the actual f-
"Awww, look at that adorable blush," This time, the figure stepped in front of me, instead of touching me from behind. There were a pair of furry black-tinged ears on it, but their eyes were unmistakably familiar.
Dark-hazel eyes stared back at me, irises on fire. I flinched, looking away, unable to talk due to her pinching my cheeks tightly.
"Er-" Gray stopped himself, as Zeref appeared in the training arena. I held my breath, hoping he wouldn't see what was happening. She stepped away from me, letting me take in her entire appearance.
Erza was here - clad in an uncolored tank-top, and jeans ripped at the knees. A short, raven-haired wig was on her head, fake-ears straight. Her eyebrows were covered under the wig's fringe - probably the only thing that would reveal her actual scarlet hair.
"C' mon, Sugar," she proceeded, her voice in countertenor. Gray was conversing with Zeref, appreciating him for everything he was doing for us, and saying that we'd be heading back for the night, "Let's head back to the rooms, hmm?"
God, Jellal. S-Stop. She's just p-pretending- STOP HAVING DIRTY THOUGHTS.
"S-Sure,"
She nodded, averting her eyes from me, but her anger didn't disappear. All the while she was talking to me, I hadn't noticed the tightness in her tone.
I had probably signed Gray and mine's Death Certificates.
Zeref shook hands with Gray, heading to the main hall, where the other Werewolves were gathered. Probably to announce the news of the Wedding, and to start the preparations. I found myself stopping in my tracks. There were hundreds, if not thousands, of wolves in his clan.
Of course, dummy. He- He's like Erza's Werewolf-Equivalent.
"You coming?" Erza called over her shoulder, eyes on the floor. I nodded, keeping on her heels. Gray fell into step with me, bumping my shoulder.
"We're dead." He rustled, loud enough for my ears alone. I took a tremulous breathe, huffing. My olive-green eyes darted around the corridor, looking for any sign of a black-haired woman - a black-haired werewolf.
We arrived at our designated room. Erza's hand was extended at where the hinges were located, her silver dagger poised to cut the door. I sweatdropped.
