Hey y'all, just clearing up cuz I realized I didn't mention it in the chapter. The church they got married at was Episcopal. In Episcopal Churches, gay couples can get married. So yeah. Wanted to clear that up.

I check myself in the mirror one more time, my heart nearly beating out of my chest.

I chew my lip and run my fingers through my hair.

I check the time and smile to myself.

In just a few hours, Thomas and I will be married!

I walk into Emma's bedroom, where she's sitting down and coloring, her dress proofed out around her.

She looks up at me and smiles when I walk in. She stands up and runs over to me, grinning widely.

I'm not 100% sure if she actually understands what's going on at all, but I do know that she loves the dresses and the flowers and all the food. She knows that something good is happening and that's enough to make her smile.

"Ready?" I ask her and she nods quickly.

Thomas is already at the church, making sure all the last minute details are in place.

I do have a surprise for him, which I could barely contain for these past few weeks.

I take Emma's hand and we walk to the car. I buckle her in and take a deep breath.

I'm really getting married.

This is happening.

Oh shit.

I smile to myself as I drive, unable to stop fidgeting.

We pull up to the church and I smile wider.

I get out and help Emma out. She takes my hand and we walk inside.

I first see the Schuyler sisters and Maria, our bridesmaids. I smile softly and greet them.

"Hey, guys," I smile, hugging each of them.

"Maria and I have been waiting for y'all to get married. Ever since you two set us up with each other," Peggy giggles softly.

I smile softly and laugh.

Peggy and Maria have a daughter, about the same age as Emma, and the two quickly start talking (quite adorably).

Emma is going to walk down the aisle with the five of them, so I give her a quick hug and kiss on the cheek and say goodbye, leaving her in the care of the Schuylers.

I next run into John and James, our groomsmen. I smile and greet them, my nerves apparent.

"You ready, Lex?" John smiles and I nod, bouncing up and down slightly.

They both laugh softly.

A very nerve wracking half hour later, everything is ready.

The bridesmaids start walking down with the groomsmen, with Peggy and Maria walking down together with the two girls.

I feel a tap on my shoulder and I turn around to see Thomas smiling widely at me.

My eyes fill with tears and I take his hands.

"Are you ready, love?" He murmurs.

I nod and take a deep breath.

I turn and take his hand, holding it tightly.

We start walking down the aisle and I keep glancing over at him, my smile getting wider each time.

He does the same and I just feel my heart overflowing.
