Chapter two ➵ What's not to like?
(Corrected)
Not only was he tired, but he also had to get back to Club Deluxe to give the money to Dan Spoon, the big boss, and this was bothering Zayn.
It was 10:00 A.M when he left his house and took his brand new car, a yellow Lamborghini Aventador S that he had bought two weeks ago. He drove through the Las Vegas Strip and finally arrived at the Deluxe Club.
Zayn got out of his car and walked into the Club, passing two maids and some staff members before climbing the stairs and knocking on the office door.
'Come in!' a voice called out.
Zayn opened the door and before he could even greet Spoon, the big boss said, 'C'mon, take a seat, kiddo!'
That was weird. Spoon had never been that friendly before. Zayn couldn't help but wonder what was happening, but he didn't ask any questions. He knew it was better if Spoon liked him. He placed the briefcase full of cash at the bottom of his white leather chair.
'So... it's going down tonight,' Spoon said.
'What's going down?' Zayn asked, intrigued.
Spoon opened his mouth to answer but stopped talking when they both heard the sound of heels hitting the floor. They turned to see a hot blonde who had ruined Zayn's favorite shirt the night before.
'You like that, don't you?' Spoon asked as the woman passed by them.
'What's not to like?' Zayn replied, confused.
She entered the balcony and watched the view she had of the Las Vegas strip.
'Bell will tell you everything. You're free to go now.'
'Yeah,' Zayn said, standing up.
'Oh! One more thing. Use this gun wisely; don't abuse it,' Spoon said.
'Uh, I'm not working that way,' Zayn lied, rolling his eyes.
'Well, then everything's fine,' Spoon smiled, knowing his employee was being deceitful.
Zayn left the Club without understanding why Spoon had summoned him. Did he want to say something else before the woman arrived? 'Doesn't matter,' Zayn thought before calling his friend.
'Yo! I just left the Deluxe. Spoon told me we're working tonight. So, what are we doing?'
'I can't tell you now. Meet me at the Striptease Club at 11:40 P.M. And don't be late. I know, I know. See you later,' James said.
'Later, bro,' Zayn concluded.
