Before you start reading this chapter, I wanted to apologize for my absence. This is not gonna happen again.

Love you all, I missed writing so much.

chapter 45 bunker

'Holy shit!' Alyssa gasped.
'I was looking forward to seeing you again, Jonshon.' The black-haired enemy announced, a wicked smirk stuck on her face.
'Keep my name out of your mouth!' She sighed.
'Or what? Are you going to shoot me?' Victoria smirked, imitating Aly.
'That's a possibility, yeah...' The blondie kindly smiled as she pointed her gun at her.
'C'mon you can do it, Jonshon, or should I say Carr...'
The anger she has been feeling for years was resurfacing as Victoria's words were coming to her ears. How could she dare? They had an agreement, nobody knew and, none had to know.
'Aly, stop! Don't you see, she's doing that on purpose?' Selena yelled as she kicked the black weapon out of her friend's hands. 'Now, you get the fuck out of here!'
'I'm not leaving if she's still breathin', alright?' Aly claimed, trying to a second gun in the pocket of her jeans.

The lightweight gun slipped away to give way a cold vacuum in her pocket.
Understanding, she turned over and, with no time to do something, a red light blinded her and the four of her friends from behind. In a moment of weakness, of inattention, a deafening silence overwhelmed the large and empty hangar.
The sound had not yet reached their ears and, they threw themselves to the ground, nailed by an unknown yet familiar force.

'Alyssa, stop being immature for a sec and just go with Zayn!' James shouted, hurt by the weight of his fall.
In the next two seconds, thousand of orange light appeared feet away from them.
'Damn it!' she shouted. Leena straightened up and shot around, without taking the care to aim, to create a diversion for a few seconds.
James took a second longer to start attacking back:
'You two go away!' he ordered, focusing on his targets.

Zayn grabbed Alyssa's hand and started running. Taken by surprise, she blindly followed him and abandoned her friends in this slaughter.
The two of them got out of the hangar, trying as hard as they could not turning back. The hot air of the desert of Nevada was hitting their faces as they kept running.
They were continuously fighting with their soul to forbid themselves to turn their heads backward to check if someone was following them.
The adrenaline increased in their body and started erasing the fear.

Finally, they could see the plane hidden underneath dead pants: soon, they would've been far away.
They ran even faster, still holding each other's hands when an unbearable sound came to them and broke their bond.
Their bodies have projected far away from each other;
The heat of the flames behind them was worse than the natural boiling temperature in Vegas.
They rolled on the concrete, ripping all the skin from their bones.

They were too far to be gone but too close to be okay.
The minutes they spent on the floor turned into hours. All they needed was somebody to help them out. But how was it possible when none of them was able to make a move, and their two allies were miles away?

The hangar eventually plunged into silence. 'Do you have any idea about where they are?' Selena whispered as she pressed her head on a cold metal box.
'Nah...' Jee replied, out of breath.
'Localise the plane.'James frowned as he watched the screen:
'It ain't workin'.'
'What the fuck? It's not possible. I programmed this shit, and there's no way it doesn't work.' Leena grabbed the phone and clicked two times on the screen.
'Shit...''
What?' James asked.
'The prog works, they just didn't take the plane.' She looked at James in the eye, worried;
They both knew that their friends were the targets of this assault, without mentioning the fact that they had thousands of agents on their back.

Aly was the only word Zayn would have been able to utter in hours.
'Alyssa?' he repeated.
Still no answers.
'Fuck it!' He growled.
He closed his eyes for a second and imagined his life without her.
The emotional hurt was worse than the physical pain, so he took it upon himself and stood up. Zee was looking for his blondie; his eyes were scanning the entire zone.
'Where is she?' He wondered.
His vision was blurry, but he saw something. He didn't know if it was just a hallucination or if it was real, but he didn't take the risk and hardly walked towards what he thought was his loved-one.
'Holy shit!' he seriously said when he saw her. He knew she wasn't asleep.
Coagulated blood was running through her black wig; her knees and elbows were scratched and burned. Zayn couldn't see the deep ocean of her eyes, nor determine if she was still breathing. He fell on his knees, next to her.
He grabbed her small hand and whispered:
'Aly, squeeze my hand if you hear me...'
Nothing.
'Alright, alright.' he started panicking.
'Holy shit... what do I do now?'
His golden-eyed started watering:
'Stay with me, Alyssa, this can't be over...'
The Pakistani passed his left arm under her knees and his right arm behind her shoulders. And it was with the little force left to him that he carried her to the airplane.
