but not Tae oh no, he thought it was hot that Jungkook could make someone cry with just a look
but then the scary looks and cold stares just wouldn't work on him

As soon as Taehyung slid into his seat — exactly one desk away from Jungkook — the hum of chatter in the classroom faded under the teacher's voice.

"Alright, class," she began, tapping her pen against the podium for silence. "Before we dive in today, I'd like you all to meet our new student."

She turned, gently nudging a small figure forward. A boy, slight and soft-looking, shuffled out from behind her. His eyes flicked up to the rows of curious stares before dropping back to the floor.

"Go on, dear. Introduce yourself."

He swallowed, voice trembling. "U-Um... h-hi. My name is Park J-Jimin. Nice to meet you."

His stutter curled a small, amused smirk onto Taehyung's lips. Cute, he thought lazily, propping his chin in his hand. Painfully cute.

"Thank you, Jimin," the teacher smiled warmly, oblivious to the whispers rippling through the room. "Now, there's an empty seat for you... boys, raise your hands."

Taehyung and Jungkook both lifted their hands — side by side, like magnets daring to pull him in. Jimin's eyes widened slightly as he looked at them: Jeon Jungkook, broad shoulders relaxed in his seat, tongue prodding at the metal of his lip ring; Kim Taehyung, all soft sweater and dangerous smile.

To say they were attractive felt like the understatement of the century.

Jimin's heart hammered so loudly he was certain they could hear it. He reminded himself — I won't let this ruin me again. Being himself was what got him bruised and broken at his last school. Not here. Not this time.

He clutched his bag tighter. "O-Okay," he mumbled, forcing his feet to move. He squeezed past desks, eyes fixed on the floor. He didn't dare meet theirs — didn't see the way Taehyung's eyes followed the shy tremble of his steps, or the faint way Jungkook's tongue darted out to wet his lips.

When he finally sank into the chair between them, he focused only on the teacher's droning voice — oblivious to the fact that he'd just seated himself like a lamb between two wolves.
