The days didn't really differ from another. Although, Sunny and Melody's talks became official, the Australian remained the only one taking the advantage of having such a good listener as Sunny

But a big change was coming up. The storage was growing more and more empty so everyone got ready for the raid. Everybody being Jared, of course, with him Melanie, Aaron, Brandt and Jamie. Melanie demanded to start looking for a new body for Wanda and promised Jamie he could join.

One of the O'Shea brothers wanted to stay with his partner more than anything so he passed the opportunity, while the other one was unsure about the two women he lived with. He saw the shift in their relationship and was falling in love with both of them all over again.

Those thoughts made him uncertain. He didn't want to lose both of them, so he chose to go. If he left he couldn't mess anything up right?

With the raiders being gone the dynamic of the caves changed a bit. People had to work more to make up for the missing hands. Sunny and Melody stayed close to each other as always. Sharon decided she wanted to teach alone again. This Stryder was unhappy about Melody's involvement with yet another soul.

They worked together and after lunch Jeb made Sunny start her comforting talks. It took people a bit before going to her. Lily was the first one to do so. The loss of Wes hurt her deeply and she felt the need to just have someone talk to her an lift her up.

Sunny took her little job very seriously and always managed to have people leaving her happier than when they came to her.

The conversations were in Walters old cave. She didn't have anything to write down but she was extremely good at remembering everything she was told. Jodie had been the same. One of the reasons she was mostly on top of her class.

In the afternoon she would listen to the heart-breaking stories of the humans she lived with and started to care about. Even Ian went to Sunny talking about his parents, friends, and part of the everyday normalcy he just missed. But he also talked about Wanda. Melody had almost walked in on accident and hear her best friend talk about the worm in the tank on Doc's desk in the infirmary. In the evening she was crying in Melody's arms. The soul felt such an overwhelming guilt over her species just wiping out the loved ones of all the people.

"We should have never come here." She sobbed into Melody's neck as she hugged the other woman.

"Sunny, it isn't your fault. You cannot do anything about it. We will get through this, don't worry. Nobody here blames you or hates you." The older woman whispered into her hair as she drew patterns on Sunny's arms.

"Sharon hates me. And Maggy, and Lucia, and-"

"Well, screw them. They probably hate everyone." Melody said. She had found a lit of comfort and care from these women in the beginning but distanced herself from the now.

"I am glad that you are here, Sunny! And many feel the same. Don't worry about it."

Of course even Melody still felt strongly about the loss of her family but she accepted their deaths and tried to only think of all the good times they had together.

"When will Kyle be back?", Sunny asked, tired.

"Getting sick of me so soon?", Melody teased the young soul, who immediately tried to get up and started to apologize.

"No, no, I didn't-"

"Sunny, calm down. I'm only messing with you."

"Don't do that!" She said glaring playfully at Melody.

It wasn't long until the two women fell asleep in each others arm, feeling safe and cared for.

It was still dark when Melody woke up and let out a quiet groan. Didn't she get past this incredibly annoying insomnia? She felt wide awake while Sunny was still sleeping comfortably. In their sleep the two had shifted positions so Melody was spooning Sunny.
