Chapter 19

"When-", he sighed, running a hand through his hand, "when Jeb talked to Wanda he mentioned Jamie and she became so worried and wanted to go to him but Melanie was gone and-"

"What do you- why is she gone? Where is she?", Melody demanded to know.

"I dont know,  but Wanda was so angry after what happened in the infirmary that when Melanie tried to talk to her she pushed her away."

"You mean like all souls kill their human host?", she demanded.

"No, well yes."

Melody stepped back letting out a loud sigh. She ran her hands through her hair, gripping it tightly.

"But we tried to get her back by triggering her!"

"Triggering? How?", Melody hesitated.

"Well, Melanie doesn't like what Wanda- what Wanda and I have, so she asked if I could kiss her to make Melanie mad because she only loves Jared."

"What the hell?" Wanda became more unlikable.

"Yes, but that didn't work, so I thought Melanie would be even more mad if Wanda kissed Jare-"

"So she first made out with you and then with Jared?"

Ian swallowed but nodded.

"Melanie came back and they went to see Jamie and Wanda said she could go to a hospital and get some medicine but no one believed she was going there for Jamie but to give us away. So she left and so did Jared. I haven't seen the two since. They are trying to get medication.

"I-I don't know what to say to this but I'm going back to Jamie now. Let's hope they come back on time and that their medicine works."

She found Sharon, who helped her get the food to everyone in the small room. Her mother followed once Melody explained Jamie's worsening condition to her.

Everyone did the best they could. Maggy wiped his sweaty forehead with a wet cloth, trying to lower his temperature. But if they were honest, they couldn't help him. The antibiotics were obviously not working and his time was running out.

Kyle soon came into the room finding his girlfriend next to the young boy. His heart broke as he looked into her desperate eyes. He sat next to her and pulled her into him. She buried her head into his neck as he hugged her tighter and kissed the top of her head. Tears streamed down her face, she didn't want Jamie to die. He was so young and should have so many years left. Melody dosed off, against her will, as Kyle rocked them back and fourth.

She woke up, startled by the loud noise of Wanda and Jared arriving. Sharon shrieked as Jared took her into headlock. It did look kinda amusing, Melody had to admit. She got up from Kyle and immediately sat down next to Jamie as Wanda got ready to work.

"What's going on? How did it go?", Melody asked Jared.

"It's ok, trust me. She knows, what she's doing.

Ian entered the room and sat down at Wanda's side. Doc and the alien spoke a few words before Wanda laid a small white and a small blue square on his tongue. Wanda called in "no-pain" and "cool" .Melody gave her a cup with water for Jamie.

"Thank you."

Doc opened the wound and Wanda sprayed something over Jamie's injury. The unhealthy yellow seemed to hiss before it dissolved. Next Wanda opened a bottle and poured the liquid over the open wound. She pressed the cuts Doc made together.

Jamie who started to regain conscience sat up and watched the body of his sister heal him. The soul explained what she did as she put shimmering powder on the now closed and healed wound.

The boy was healthy again and the room rejoiced in happiness. Sharon and Maggy left the room.

Jeb came back with a box in his hands. It contained a lot of food. A lot of good food. Melody just sent Kyle a look and went to search through the box.

"Please have mercy on me, oh hungry Koala."
He said dramatically and everyone chuckled as Melody glared at him playfully.

He threw some food to her, which she caught and walked back. Melody felt so relieved and happy it was infectious and even Kyle smiled. He was also happy Jamie survived. As he sat against the wall, Melody sitting between his legs, everyone started eating.

They thoroughly enjoyed the food and the good atmosphere of the room. They could even forget one of them was an alien.
