Carmela's POV

I started to walk across the beach toward the road, I heard Enzo following me, but I just wanted to be alone. "Will you stop following me." I snapped at him. "No." Was his simple answer. I stopped and turned to face him. "Please Enzo, I'm sick of being a prisoner here I need space. I need..." I sighed. "I need Romeo. But he doesn't even know I exist anymore. Yes, I'm grateful for him wanting to keep me safe and doing all he can to do that, but he doesn't see how much sadness I'm actually in over this." I answered so honestly that a tear slipped out of my right eye. Enzo just looked at me with a troubled look on his face. "Go, I didn't see you if anyone asks." I smiled half-heartedly at Enzo and left him standing on the beach.

I walked down a secluded street lined with shops that were all closed for the day. As I walked a white dress caught my eye. I looked into the window of a bridal store just looking at a beautiful dress on the mannequin, I couldn't imagine myself wearing this type of dress. I know there's a lot of different styles of dresses but the whole big day, big dress and all the guests. I just really couldn't be assed with all that, I'd just settle with having Romeo by my side. "That's a pretty dress." A velvety voice sounded from behind me. "Yes, it is." I replied to the voice behind me. "You won't be seeing your wedding day though." I felt cold steel press against my spine. "You're coming with me." I smirked. "Nah, I don't feel like it." His gun pressed harder against my back as he slid his arm around my waist pulling me to his left, exposing his face. "You don't have a choice sweetheart." I smirked at his reply and thrust my dagger into his right eye. He staggered back and fell to the floor. I shrugged and retrieved my dagger and wiped the blood from the blade onto his jeans. I picked up his gun and phone and put them with mine in my jacket. The more the merrier I thought and continued my walk.

I didn't get very far before the next idiot thought they could kill me revealed themselves. They were standing on the corner picking their fingernails with a knife. "Yippee, another idiot." I thought to myself. He pushed off the wall and started to walk away from me, okay, that's new, that's never happened before. I shrugged and walked on, kind of following him but also not, he suddenly turn and threw his knife at me. I dodged it, just before he tackled me to the floor. My back hit the ground sending pain instantly through my body. He pinned me by the throat and squeezed hard. "This is going to be an easy 10 million." He sneered at me. My airway burned as I gasped for air.

BANG!

The man fell limp over my body, dripping blood onto my face from the hole that was now in his head. I pushed him off me coughing as I did. "As if I'd let that dick steal my millions." A female voice said as she pushed her gun into my temple. "I don't get something though, why are you worth so much money?" I panted as air went into my lungs again. "How the fuck do I know!" I said back to her as I sat up. "Who are you?" she asked, but I wasn't about to reveal who I really were to her. "Does it matter?" she shrugged deciding she didn't care. "Not really. Now get up." I stood slowly judging her movements looking for any concealed weapons. "Honey, you're not going to find anything. You can stop looking." It was my turn to shrug. "Maybe not, but I know something you don't." She narrowed her eyes at me, contemplating what I knew, getting nothing from my facial expression. "What's that?" She finally asked, curiosity getting the better of her. "You sure you wanna know?" She relaxed her stance annoyed and dropped her aim slightly and that's when I threw my punch. She dodged it easily but that was the point, to get her off balance so I could attack her. We sparred it out for a little while and I managed to disarm her. "You're going to die today." Were my last words to her before I dragged the blade across her skin finishing her off by slitting her throat. I again collected both the mans and the woman's weapons and their phones and continued back to the estate. I didn't encounter anyone else along the way, which was good because I really did want to be left alone.

Back at the house Romeo's car wasn't there, so he still must not be home. Enzo met me at the front door. "Fun walk I see?" his sarcasm has returned. "Yup." Is all I could be bothered to reply as I pushed passed him and into the house. "Good luck." he said as I closed the door on him. What kind of response was that. I rolled my eyes and headed for the stairs. "Where have you been?" Amy asked in a worried voice noticing my blood stained appearance. "Out, now I'm going for a shower. What else would you also like to know?" I was being a bitch and I knew I were but it's not like anyone cared enough to stick around. She looked hurt by my reply, I shook my head and carried on walking up the stairs. "Wait." She shouted after me. I stopped and reluctantly turned to face her again. "I wanted to know if you wanted anything to eat. I was going to order pizza." I sighed loudly, she knew only too well I can't say no to pizza. "The usual. I'll be down in 15." She smiled knowing she had won me over and walked off to place our order.

I stood under the warm running water as it washed the man's blood off me, I thought my little walk would have made me feel better, but it only emphasized the fact that I feel alone. Before I fell in love with Romeo and got so attached to his family, I loved being on my own the serenity and peace was calming. The thrill of the kills I had today was good, to feel the adrenaline in my veins again helped me feel somewhat normal, except I wanted to share it with him. Show him that I could help in this whole mess instead of hiding, but as always, he wasn't there. I turned off the tap and wrapped a towel around myself before leaving the bathroom.

"Didn't think main street needed painting?" He said from his position sitting on the edge of the bed. "You don't like blood red?" I said sarcasm evident in my voice. "You shouldn't have left the house it was too dangerous for you." His voice didn't have any emotion in it, it was lifeless. I ignored him, but kept my gaze on his eyes. "You're not even going to explain yourself?" Again I ignored him. His nose twitched at my arrogance, he stood up and walked towards me. "Okay, don't talk, but you will listen. I can't keep you safe if you're not going to help yourself and stay in this house." My anger was building, and he knew it, he could see it in my eyes. "You won't be going out again, I've locked all the windows and secured them." My jaw clenched, I was dying to say something. This is what he wanted, to get a reaction out of me, but I really wanted to be defiant and stay quiet which I managed, but only just.

We continued our staring match for a few minutes before his phone started to ring in his pocket. I smirked and pushed passed him bumping his shoulder hard as I passed him. He span me round back to face him and pushed me up against the wall hard, my breathing hitched as I hit the wall. His phone persistently continued to ring. "You better get that and run along." I spat as I rolled my eyes, his eyes darkened but he said nothing and didn't move. His hand reached up to my cheek wiping away a tear I didn't even know had escaped.

"Why did you leave the house?" his voice was soft. "Because I feel trapped." I answered honestly. "I feel like I'm in a beautiful lonely prison." I continued. He didn't say anything just looked away to the floor. "I want to come with you, to help you. You know I can be of more use than I am just staying here." He sighed. "Pizza will be here soon. You should get dressed."

He turned to walk away leaving me here, and I just couldn't take it anymore. I dropped my towel wanting to prove a point and called for his attention. "Look at me!" He stopped but didn't turn. "Romeo, look at me." He turned round to face me slowly, his eyes widened as he gazed upon my naked body, I could see lust in his eyes. I walked towards him as he didn't move towards me, furthering my point. "I need you. I can't keep going like this, it doesn't even feel like we're together anymore." I grabbed his hand. "I can tell, you don't even have your ring on anymore." I looked down at my ring finger, I'd taken it off to go on my little excursion. "I didn't want to lose it, or have it stolen." I admitted. "Do you want to put it back on?" I was shocked at his question. "Of course I do, why would you even ask me that." He half smiled at my answer. "Because I have abandoned you here. Because I haven't been a very good person to you-" I cut him off with a kiss. He was right he hasn't been the best to me, but he was doing it from a good place, he was protecting me. The kiss was building, both of us not wanting to let the other go, it was clear we had severely missed each other.

"Pizzas here." Amy bellowed upstairs interrupting us. We both half-laughed. "I'll get dressed and meet you down there." He nodded, reluctantly letting go of me but after a few minutes left the room.
