Romeo's POV

Everyone was gathered at the bottom of the stairs in the main foyer, waiting for my address. "Tonight's objective is to kill everyone in sight except for Vincent, he needs capturing. Everyone has been shown a photo of him, so you know what he looks like. Show no mercy, happy hunting." I dismissed everyone and descended the stairs, I reached for Carmela, but she evaded my grasp and walked out the doors to the van. "Don't worry man, she will come around." Enzo reassured as we walked out the house.

I got in the van and looked at her through the vanity mirror as we drove down the extended driveway, she stared back at me still with no emotion on her face. The drive wasn't long, 30 minutes later we were and the check point and everyone loaded up. I saw Carmela taking a few quick breaths as she held her stomach. I knew better than to reprimand her for being here. "Be safe Rose." I said as I handed her, her gun bag. Her mood had somewhat softened and her eyes weren't as sharp as she accepted her bag. "You too." There were a million things I wanted to say to her in that moment but couldn't vocalise any. "The trail is just there, that will lead you up to the cliff edge." I pointed to the trail behind her and went to turn, I couldn't watch her walk away on her own. A tight grip on my wrist stopping me in my tracks. "We love you." Before I could answer her, she crushed her lips to mine and all too soon she was gone, quickly marching her way up the trail. "I love you both." I whispered to the night air.

We split off into 4 teams of 5 and advanced on the warehouse, each team was to come at the warehouse from a different entry point. Enzo and Amy took the west entry, Timo and Mel took the east point, Lorenzo headed up the back entrance from the water. Leaving me and my team to secure the main doors. The plan was in its simplest form, was to surround and overwhelm, this type of attack was usually done with more men, but I didn't want to risk too many men and leave the estate defenceless. I had some of my best on this mission, and hoped we wouldn't run into too much hassle.

Timo and Enzo got their teams into position and was going in first, the girls were to test the doors as the others provided cover. We picked the girls because they were the nimblest, Carmela had seen to that with all the balance and gymnastic training she put both the girls through. I watched on as they scaled shipping containers and navigated thin beams getting to the doors completely unnoticed by Vincent's spotters, they even managed to evade the surveillance cameras as they went. This reminded me of my first encounter with Carmela. "It's lock. Some kind of fingerprint recognition is needed to release the door." Mel whispered from her side. "Same here... No wait." Amy said as she dipped out of view into the shadows. I shifted my position trying to get eyes on her, the door opening had me ducking for cover. As the door was just shutting Amy appeared again and slid something between the door and the frame, my mind scrambled to think what she just put there, but I couldn't think. "The door is now open." Amy gasped as she was balancing upside down, before flipping over again dropping to the floor out of view, seconds later the man that exited also disappeared into the shadows, his muffled groan were the only indication of what happened to him.

"Timo your team hold position. Lorenzo, anything on your side?" Clicking noises were heard through the earpiece, he was signalling activity on his end. Men came tumbling quickly out of both side entrances and gun fire erupted into the night. Flashes from guns could be seen. "Timo provide support. Enzo lead your team inside, I'll flank you. Rocco you remain on the main entry." We all quickly set to the shift in plans. Gun fire continues loudly, the only other sound that could be heard was cries of pain when people where hit.

I lead the charge forward coving Enzo's team as they moved to go inside, firing shots as I advanced at anyone that posed a threat to us. A burly man came out of the shadows spearing me to the ground, my gun slid from my hand as I landed hard on the concrete. The wind knocked out of me, but I had to react fast if I wanted to get out of this situation, suddenly the man collapsed forward onto me, blood flowing freely from his head. I looked towards the cliff edge. Of course Camy was watching my advance and covered my ass. I nodded in her direction, pushed the mans body off me and went to reclaim my gun to re-join the fight.
