Carmela's POV
"This necklace." A female voice said from the doorway. We all turned to the voice as we didn't hear anyone else come in the room. Valentina was holding back tears as she looked at me in my dress. I walked to her and embraced her, I know that we hadn't met since Romeo came back into my life, but I remembered her from my childhood. She was just as beautiful, and kind faced as I remembered her being. "When did you get here?" I asked truly happy that she had come. "About 10 minutes ago, I didn't waste much time with the idiots downstairs. I needed to see you. You look so much like your father with the beauty of your mother. They would be so proud of who you have become." Her words were beautiful but a sad reminder that my parents were not with me anymore.
She held out a blue velvet box to me and I took it from her, opening it I was greeted by a gorgeous neckless with a sapphire diamond pendent at the bottom. I traced my fingers over it. "This neckless seems kind of familiar." I said as I knit my eyebrows together trying to think how I knew it. "It should. It was a gift from your mother to me for my 30th birthday, she said that you picked it out in the store." The memory came flooding back to me, and I smiled. The day I picked it was the day I had just won a ballet competition and my mother took me out shopping to pick a well done gift and to find a present for Valentina. "Turn around Rose. This can be your something borrowed, blue and old." A single tear escaped my eye as I felt the weight of it drop around my neck. I placed a hand over it as I took a deep breath as it felt like my mothers presence was with me in this exact moment.
"You ready ladies?" Timo said as he admired me in my dress with a big grin on his face. "Hold on one last thing." Amy interrupted my nodding. She bent down and lifted my left ankle and propped it onto her knee, and slid the garter belt into place on my thigh. "Won't hurt to have an extra blue tradition, plus it will made for a good photo at the reception when Romeo takes it off with his teeth." She teased. I laughed at her bold insinuation, but knew Romeo would probably do that. "Now she's ready." She announced.
We walked downstairs as a precession, me going last and trying hard not to stand on my dress on the way down, falling was not in the plans for today. As I reached the bottom Timo extended his hand to help me off the last step. "You look beautiful Carmela." I smiled in thanks, and he handed me a box. "A gift from me and Enzo." He answered my unspoken question. I opened the box to find a dagger. It was small and light weight, the blade was iridescent and shined in all colours of the rainbow as the light shone onto it. The handle was plain and black which emphasised the colouration of the blade. "I love it, thank you." I thanked him and placed a small kiss on his cheek, Enzo appeared from round the corner and I thanked him too. "Why don't I get a kiss?" he pouted, as I rolled my eyes and placed a small kiss on his cheek too. "Happy now?" he smiled nodding. "You ready to have one cock for the rest of your life?" Valentina scoffed at his inappropriate comment and pulled him out the room by his ear, as Enzo shouted 'ow' all the way out. We all laughed. I lifted my dress and I placed the dagger in my garter belt. "Now I feel ready."
I was about to head for the door when Timo span me around. "Were not leaving the house. You're getting married on the beach." I raised my eyebrows in surprise, but then guessed it was probably the safest option for a venue. He led Amy towards the double patio doors and music began to play the traditional wedding march, Enzo reappeared with a red ear to escort Mel down the aisle. It quickly became my turn and I took a deep breath while holding the pendent, drawing strength from it. "Love with all your heart Carmela, there's nothing more precious than that." I heard my mothers words echo in my head, as I took my first steps towards my future.
As I got closer to the doors, I squared my shoulders, held my head high and continued to walk outside. The patio had been transformed with twisting soft fabrics and red roses, lanterns with candles were positioned at the top of the stairs as a guide to where I needed to walk. The aisle was lined with roses, and three people graced each side of it smiling towards me. They were up standing for me as I walked towards them through the sand, and towards the halter. The first person I was to walk past was Lorenzo, as I got to him, he held up a single red rose for me to take. I took the rose from him with a smile and a nod, I wasn't expecting him to stop my march, but the gift was simple and elegant and impossible to refuse. With each person I reached they too passed me a single red rose. As I reached Romeo at the end, he turned to finally face me and he too gave me a rose, with each addition it made up my bouquet. He had planned this too perfection for me, every detail thought out was to remind me of who I am, how much he knew me and loved me.
Romeo was dressed in a navy blue suit with a white dress shirt under it, his tie was red to march the roses and his lapel was also donned with a red rose. He was so handsome in his suit, but what drew my attention the most was his eyes. The dark brown appeared lighter and filled with love as he took my whole appearance in while taking hold of my free hand. "You look breath-taking."
Romeo's POV
I knew she was on her way down the aisle to me, I could feel her presence getting closer. I knew she would opt to walk down the aisle on her own, not wanting to appear like she needed anyone. I had gone with my gut and selected a simple dress with lace. Both to remind her that she is simply elegant, the black bow accent to the dress was to reflect her dark side. The dagger the boys gave her as a gift was their idea, but it was perfect. It is her chosen weapon that she carries to complete any and every outfit she wears, the candles at the start of the aisle was to reflect her fire that burned brightly within her, and I also kept the guest list to a minimum. I knew that she wouldn't question why she didn't have a bouquet to hold on her way down the aisle. I had planned for each guest to present her with her namesake flower, a reminder that she is 'My Rose'.
She reached my side and I could finally turn and see her in all her grace, I was speechless when I laid my eyes on her, she has always been beautiful, but she transcended that today. "You look breath-taking." Were the only words I could think as the priest began his speech. I repeated the priests words to her, each one my vow and promise. I have never been so emotional in all my life, there was a time where I thought this day would never come, but now it has, I wouldn't ever let her go. I opted to use the rings our fathers left us as our wedding bands, it only felt right to use them as there were left for this very occasion. The bands were platinum in colour, no detail on the exterior, but inside both the bands they were engraved in flourished script. 'To you I will forever belong', with a crest stamp, our new mafia crest, bringing unity to them both.
I repeated the engraving to her as I slipped the ring onto her finger, her eyes glossed over as I said the words. I used my thumb to wipe away the single tear that escaped her eye. she repeated after the priest and spoke her vows to me, and took the ring from Timo to give it to me. she noticed the engraving on the inside of the ring and smiled wide. She said the engraving back to me as she pushed it onto my finger, and then bit her lip. We never took our eyes off each other as the priest announced us man and wife, I didn't even let him finish before my lips were on hers, I reluctantly broke from her to whisper. "I love you Rose." Into her ear as applause and woof whistles erupted around us.
Carmela's POV
I was completely overwhelmed by the day as I snuck off after the meal, speeches and first dance. I just needed a minute to catch myself up, to take a minute of peace and calm. "Hey, you okay?" Romeo asked from the door frame, concern in his voice. "Yea, I just needed a minute to myself." I smiled at his reflection in the mirror as he wrapped his arms around my waist. He slowly laid a trail of soft kisses along my collar bone and up my neck, I exposed my neck to him to give him more access as goosebumps were rampant over my skin and I moaned lightly while closing my eyes to his touch. "I think we should call it a night, Mrs Giovanni." My new name thrilled me and sent sparks flying within my body. "I think so too." Excitement building within me.
Romeo started to slowly remove the veil from my hair along with the pins, as he released each part my hair began to fall down my back. He threw the veil over the chair arm and dropped to his knees. Unbuttoning my dress, his hands ran over my ass as he continued his slow precession, my breathing was starting to become erratic at his slow movements. Once completed he reach up running his hand up my back until he reached his goal and slid the dress from my shoulders, it pooled around my ankle exposing my naked flesh. "È Bellissimo." He whispered into the hollow of my lower back before placing a kiss there, fire burned in my core. He turned me around to face him, except we wasn't eye to eye, hooking his thumbs under the waistband of my panties to slowly take them down. I swallowed deeply as if this was my first time, I was nervous, and I didn't understand why. He tapped my ankle each in turn and I stepped out of my dress and now wet panties, before I could put my right leg back on the ground, he hooked it over his left shoulder and plunged his tongue between my folds.
His tongue flicked and teased my clit, I moaned as he coaxed my arousal. I ran my fingers threw his hair, softly tugging it as my need for him grew. To my frustration he stopped and withdrew his tongue. "No, don't stop." I panted at him. "All in good time, Mrs Giovanni." Again he used my new name, and butterflies fluttered inside me.
