And there they were. Fist-fighting in a Denny's parking lot.
Ted was kinda losing, which wasn't too surprising, considering Buggs had brought a knife (which, by the way, was completely unfair and totally against the rules.)
All their friends, including Ozzy and his friends, who had heard about it from Monty, were there, watching the battle. Carla was taking bets.
Man, this should be a sport.
Oh shit, he got pushed onto the ground.
Oh shit, now Buggs had the advantage.
Oh shit, now Buggs had his knife.
Quickly, he rolled away and got up, but Buggs still had the knife in his hand and there was nothing that could be done about it.
Wait hold on, someone was doing something about it!
"No weapons, Buggs. That's cheating."
Oh yeah, that was totally gonna work.
Wait, that actually worked?
Nice.
Oh shit, no it didn't, Buggs was just faking him out.
So Ted was still at the disadvantage, because Buggs brought a knife to a fist fight.
"Hey!"
That was Monty. "What?"
"You can use this if you pay later."
And with that, he fucking yote a baseball bat directly at Ted, who just barely caught it.
"Yeah, right," said Buggs, in that dumb stupid voice of his. "Like your bladeless piece of wood is gonna do anything against my knife, Teddy."
Oh.
Oh he did not.
"Oooooohhhh shit!" he heard Kid call out. Kid knew what was up. Kid knew what was coming.
Nobody called Theodore Huxley "Teddy". Not unless they wanted to get decked. And here Buggs was, antagonizing the angry teenager with a baseball bat.
"Say goodbye to your kneecaps, asshole."
