She had fallen asleep on him.

But this time, it was... nice.

Felix was still confused, he had walked in expecting something bad to happen. Instead, she had broken down apologizing, and he had comforted her (that part was really just instinct), and then they were laying on her bed together, hugging.

It was scary, in and of itself, how quickly things had changed. Everything had happened at once, and it was all new.

She was peacefully asleep, arm draped around him, and his arms were wrapped around her, and even though he was the one holding her, he still felt an odd sense of security.

But as nice as it was, all good things must come to an end. His friends had to be worried about him, it had been a day since he left. He lifted his arms off  of Cindy, but she was a light sleeper, and the sudden lack of contact woke her up.

"Felix?"

Something within him was still terrified, but he pushed that part back to respond. "I have to go, Cindy. My friends are probably worried."

She whimpered, holding him closer. "Don't leave."

He hugged her. "I'll be back. I just have to make sure they know I'm okay."

She looked at him, confused. "Why would they think you're not?"

Shit.

"It's..."

She stopped him. "You told them, didn't you?"

Cautiously, he nodded.

"And that was the groupchat I was blocked from?"

He nodded again.

She sighed. "I really was a threat, wasn't I? I mean, if you had to make a whole chat that I was blocked from..."

"Did... I not need to?"

She gave a halfhearted chuckle. "If I had found out that you told anyone earlier, the two of us would probably be in court right now."

That was all well and good, but he needed to get back to The Order. Slowly, he got up, as if she was a sleeping bear; the irrational part of his brain was still terrified that she was just faking all this to gain his trust.

Without so much as a look in his direction, Cindy grabbed Felix's wrist, pinning it down, and memories that he didn't want started flooding in.

"Do you really have to go?"

He was shaking. Cindy, realizing this, quickly pulled her hand off of his wrist. "Sorry, I was-"

"Cindy, I have to leave."

A few seconds of silence passed. "Okay."

Finally, he got up to leave, when she clung to him from behind. Jesus Christ.

"You promise you'll come back?"

Trying not to groan, he nodded, and made for the door.

"Hey."

Everyone froze.

"Where the hell have you- no, no I know where you were. Why were you gone so long?!" Ted grabbed onto the front of Felix's shirt. "What did she do to you."

"I promise you, I'm fine."

"Wypileuwos what do you mean you're fine?!"

Felix put a hand to the back of his neck. "Yeah, I have some explaining to do."

He told them everything that had happened, from Cindy breaking down to them sleeping together for the night, in a non-sexual way.

There was a moment of stunned silence.

"You must have Stockholm syndrome or something, dude."

Felix huffed. "No, I-"

And then he remembered.

"She mentioned going to the counselor, who sent her to the nurse, who gave her weird medicine. That could be a clue."

Kid shrugged. "I guess."

Bzzzt.

"Hold on."

Felix Huxley, where are you?

Fuck, it was his mom.

I'm okay. I was just spending the night at a friend's house.

Please let him stay please let him stay please let him stay.

Well, get back here. Right now.

Goddamnit.

"It's Mother. I have to go."

And with that, he left.

The room was silent for a few more seconds, until Kid spoke up.

"So you guys wanna do that gay shit now?"
