"Felix, please don't say any sad stuff, my heart can't handle it."

But Felix was already on the ground, mumbling about Cindy and Applesoft and the total lack of genuine affection from his family.

Kid sighed. "Alright, we're doing another group therapy now." He laid a hand on Felix's shoulder. "It's gonna be okay, son."

Felix looked up. "That's legitimately the first time I've heard those words together."

"Felix, stop making me sad!"

"Hey, at least there's one thing we have in common," Ted joked.

"Not you too, Ted!"

"While we're on this train of thought, I still haven't gotten over my father's death," Jerome put in.

"I wish my mom was a good person."

"I wish my legs worked."

"I wish I could do anything that's not on a schedule without freaking out."

Kid whimpered. "Everybody stop saying sad stuff, you're gonna make me cry!"

"Cindy."

Felix looked up to Penny. "Yeah, she's the problem."

Penny shook her head. "She's here."

Felix sat up quickly. "How can you tell?"

"Can't explain. No time. Get down."

Ted lifted up a carpet to reveal a trap door. He opened the trap door, grabbed Felix's wrist, and pulled him inside. He fell onto the ground, not too far a fall, but it still hurt.

Ted seemed to have done this before, as he had landed on his feet.

"How the bloody hell are you so agile with a broken leg?"

"Not actually broken. Just some severed tendons."

"That's... still bad."

"Yeah, it hurts like hell," Ted said nonchalantly.

Felix was still a little concerned, but not enough to inquire further.

He did, however, notice his brother's slight limp.

A voice came up from behind them. "Black Sheep. New recruit."

Black Sheep? Must be Ted's codename, or something like that.

Stepping out in front of the two, holding a candle, was Nugget.

"Welcome to the Nugget Cave."

"Hiiii~"

Nobody in this group of weirdos seemed to like Cindy very much, so she had to really play up the whole "innocent" act.

They didn't seem to buy it, they just looked at her, unamused.

"Have you seen Felix?" she continued.

Kid spoke up, in a disinterested tone. "Felix isn't part of the Order, Cindy. Why would we know where he is?"

She huffed at his rudeness. "Well, then have you seen his brother?"

"Ted's leg is broken, Cindy. He's not here."

Scowling, she turned around. She was this close to just snapping and giving her tragic story to the public. The secret ingredient? Life-ruining lies.

But before she did that, she was going to give Felix a second chance. Maybe this time, he'll learn to behave.
