"Magnus! It's us! We need you now!" I said as I banged on the door. "What happened?!" Magnus asked as he opened the door and saw us holding Luke.
"He was bitten. He needs a warlock." I explained. ""He needs you." Clary said.
"Put him here." Magnus said, putting a sheet over his couch. Clary and Simon set Luke on the couch.
"Where are you? I can't find you." Luke said. "He's somewhere else in his head." I said.
"Jocelyn! Jocelyn!" he started saying. "No, Luke, it's Clary. Can you hear me?" Clary asked, putting Luke's hand on her cheek.
"Clary, listen to me. You have to listen to me. I need to tell you, just in case." "Don't even say that, Luke--" "You need to listen to me." Luke said.
"Was he bitten by an Alpha?" Magnus asked. "Yeah, why?" I asked. "Three. Two. One." Magnus said and Luke growled and his eyes turned green. "Oh my God!" Clary said.
Magnus walked away. "Where do you think you're going?!" Simon asked. "Hold him down!" Magnus said. Luke was yelling and groaning in pain.
He came back with some kind of bark. "We don't have much time." Magnus said. He placed the bark in Luke's mouth and he bit on it.
"It'll take a few moments to take effect." Magnus said. "What's happening to him?" Clary asked.
"Random werewolf transformation. It's a side effect of the alpha bite poison." Magnus said.
Soon enough, the bark sedated him, but I knew it wouldn't last. "I need to still make a potion to fully evade the poison. For now, you two bandage his wounds and Ash, you have to help me." Magnus said.
I went and helped Magnus with whatever he needed. "Is he gonna be okay?" I asked. "Not to worry, Angel Dove. Luke is gonna be fine, if we're quick enough. Werewolves are powerful and magical sedatives only work for so long before they wear off, so we need to be quick and make this potion to neutralize the poison." Magnus said.
"The bark will stop the transformation for now, but he'll need an antidote for an Alpha bite, and I don't have all the ingredients." Magnus said.
"Just tell me what you need and how to get it." Clary volunteered. "No, you stay here. Luke will need you if he wakes up." Magnus said.
"When he wakes up." Clary corrected. "I'll go." Simon said. "I'll go." Jace said, walking in. His nose was bleeding.
"Holy shit, what happened to you?" I asked. "Luke's car may have found its way into a pole while I was stashing it." Jace admitted.
"I don't do mundane driving." he said. "Yeah, apparently." Simon said, putting his arm around Clary. Somebody's peanut butter and jealous.
"What do you need for the antidote?" Jace asked, wiping his nose. "Hey, I got this." Simon said.
"Phoenix eyes, moon salt and Idris fulgurite." Magnus said. "One trip to the pharmacy, it'll take two seconds." Simon said.
"I know a guy. And uh, I don't need him." Jace said. "Too bad, you're getting me, we'll be right back." Simon said.
"One more thing. I need Alexander." Magnus said. "Why do you need Alec?" I asked.
"Virgin Shadowhunter energy." Magnus said. I was taken aback. "That explains so much." Simon said. I cleared my throat as a warning.
"Uh, Alec, um.. I can't." Jace said. I rolled my eyes. "Jace just call him, you guys need to talk." I said.
"Trouble in paradise?" Magnus asked. "Magnus." I hissed. "Listen, I'll give you a pass tonight. I'll get Alec, you get the ingredients. But you gotta man up, Jace." I said.
