As her long blonde hair cascaded down her face she trained her eyes to her paint-strained white converse. Mutters of rumours that always contained the haunting words of her name echoed as her feet hit the cold, hard floors of Abigail Adams High.

"I heard she left the school because her brother got sent to a mental asylum.

"Apparently Maya Hart left because she was dying but is cured.

"I heard she ran away to Vegas andf wasted her college money on a game of black jack."

Maya muttered. The only bluntly truthful reason for her twelve month disappearance was that Maya's mother Katy and her step father had encountered some problems with Maya's Father, kermit.

Kermit, who suddenly urged to be in his daughters life all of a sudden, was demanding for custody of his daughter so the year was spent locked in her room listening to the growing familiarity of her parents arguing. She then longes for silence, instantly feeling like the petrified seven year old who bolted out the fire escape, however only to hear the swear ringing of a gorgeous brunettes voice.

In those moments Maya would have murdered a man to hear the sweet ringing of that brunettes voice and her rambling on about Pluto. Maya would chuckle to herself of bittersweet memories of her best friend... well perhaps distant acquaintance at the present time. During the twelve months of solitude from the busy, optimistic lives of Abigail Adams High school, Riley and Maya drifted unknowingly. Riley dated her middle school sweet heart Lucas Friar and Josh, Riley's uncle, decided to drop the long game completely and go for a college girl with bleach blonde hair and long tanned legs. Smackle and Zay got together and Farkle was seeing the supposed girl of his dreams Joey who was absolutely perfect for him and a generally nice girl. Everyone was moving up and further to war their happy ending in this tragedy one calls the game of life. Maya unfortunately had the unlucky side of the story and had to see her dad once a two months, in which she stays with him and her step family for a week.
