"You're making with big mistake, Lucas".

"I don't think i am."

"Yeah, well, you never know what you have until it's gone."

The fight had happened just over a week ago. It was for stupid reasons, brought on by jealousy this was really an iverreaction. Now, Lucas Friar realized that he had in fact made a big mistake. Actually, big didn't even begin to cover it. It was massive.

He had gotten the call on his way home from work. He was interning at an animal shelter in his junior year of high school. He answered the phone, and got pale at the words that were told to him. He began running, all the way until he finally caught sight of a subway station that would lead him to the train he needed desperately to get on.

Riley Matthews was on her way home from school, her mother having given her the day off from working at Topanga's. She had chosen a cab, not wanting to face the subway without Maya, who had softball practice after the school. Maya had recently started the sport, and she had found out that she was amazing at it.

Riley was sitting in the cab at a red light. Rush hour traffic had already begun, even though it was almost constant in the big city, so traffic was a mess. She turned her head to the right, and saw a car flying right towards her.

People say that when you face death, your little flashes before youe eyes. However, that is not the case.

Rather, you only see the people or things you truly love.

Riley saw all the people you would except, she saw both sets of her grandparents. She saw her aunts. She saw uncle Josh and uncle Eric. She saw her parents. She saw her little Auggie, smiling his toothless grin.

She saw Farkle at a science fair. She saw smackle, standing right beside him with the biggest smile on her face. She saw Zay, eating one of the cookies his grandmother had sent him, still able to send cookies almost two years after the cookie incident, as it had been named.

She saw Maya, sitting at the bay window as she had all these years smiling that smile but that Riley loved so much.

Finally, she saw Lucas, reaching in to hold her hand like he had at the ski lodge all those years ago.

Than, all she saw was black.

Topanga had gotten the call while she was at the bakery. Cory was there, helping her clean up after a busy day. She had put her phone on speaker, so they both had heard it. All they did was grab the phone and run, getting to the hospital as fast as they could.

The two parents were not aware of Riley and Lucas fight, so they had called him without even thinking.

He told them ge was on his way, and they knew by his voice that he was running as fast as they were.

The ambulance was rushing to the hospital. In the wreck, caused by faulty brakes, with five people in it, this teenage girl was hurt the worst.

The paramedic was doing his best to save her. He was going to reach for some medication, when he heard the sound every paramedic dreamed.

Beeeeeeeeeeeep

Lucas got to the hospital at about the same time as Corpanga. They were there before the ambulance.

Suddenly, everything was a rush. The stretcher came in the door beside the three, the paramedic on top of their Riley performing CPR. They all began running beside the strectcher, terrified about what would happen next.
