"You."

"Me. Hello, (N/n)-chan, I'm Kamiya Tsurugi."

"Glad you two could have a happy reunion," Glasses said in a sarcastic voice. "It warms my heart."

Your face deadpans. "Wait, who are you again?"

The childish male fakes a look of hurt. "Aw, I thought you'd remember me!"

"I don't think I've ever met you before."

"Maybe we need to jog that memory of yours then," Tsurugi says, leaning down to look you in the eyes, your faces only a few inches apart.

You jab the end of your broom into his throat. "Personal space, pal, I know how to use this."

He laughs and raises his hands in surrender, taking a step back. He looks from you to glasses, a smile on his face. "Your hints were too easy, Shuu-chan! She got it right away!"

"I doubt you could do better," Tsuyuki grumbled.

"I got her here, didn't I? If I can do that, I can definitely come up with better hints."

"Yeah, but who spent weeks trying to track her down? Me! That vampire of hers knows how to keep her off our radar! I had to look into every place she's ever been, then I had to find her school schedule, then I had to cross-reference everything I had already found and-"

"You're making my head hurt," Tsurugi said laughing.

"That's your brain trying to comprehend its own stupidity," Tsuyuki spat.

"Shuu-chan, that's mean," he laughed.

The doorway was open and unguarded, and you slowly inched toward it while they argued back and forth like third-graders.

You were two feet from the doorway when Tsurugi turned to look at you, smiling creepily. "Where do you think you're going, princess?"

You didn't stick around to answer, and instead, bolted through the doorway and down the hallway.

"Don't look back. Don't look back. Don't look back," You whispered to yourself as you ran, you weren't that stupid, looking back never ended well for horror movie characters.

You charged down the hallway, turning corners at random. Startled C3 members dove to the side as you blew past them, scattering papers all over the floor. At this point, you didn't even know where you were going, you just acted on impulse. Your brain had been set to an automated reaction. Corner? Turn left or right. Stairway? Go up or down. C3 member's in your way? Knock em down if they don't move out of the way.

A few minutes later, you calculated that you were four floors above where you had been held. You flew down the hallway, past doors and elevators. Ahead of you, one of the doors was kicked open from the inside, and you saw a familiar blue jacket dart into the hallway.

"(Y/n)!" Kuro shouted when he saw you. "Are you-"

"Hold that thought!" You yelled, grabbing his wrist and dragging him behind you.

"What's the rush?"

"I'll tell you in a second!"

The hallway ceilings were covered in security cameras, watching your every move. You skidded to a stop in front of a door marked 'Supply Closet' and quickly pulled Kuro inside.

"I'm exhausted," Kuro said, changing into a cat. "That's the most exercise I've ever done."

"Knowing you, that's probably true," You say, holding him in the air.
