Yeah, so, how do I say this... I'm sorry. I'm about to give you a really lame excuse for why I haven't updated in a while. I've been hella busy. I went on a week-long vacation and it was fun except for one thing. THERE WAS NO WIFI ANYWHERE! LET ALONE A COMPUTER FOR ME TO WRITE ON! And now that I'm back, my mom won't let me write on the computer during the week cause of school. Now onto the story. ((A/n) I'm not really that good at writing fight scenes, so bear with me on this, I'm trying, I really am)
(Y/n) POV
Kuro lunged toward Tsubaki and slashed at him again, leaving the front of his kimono torn. Then it's your turn. You launch yourself at the black haired vampire, swinging the broom in a graceful arc, aiming for his head. Just as your weapon was about to make contact with his face it was cut in half by a gleaming sword blade. You recoil and look up, shocked to find Belkia standing next to Tsubaki.
"How'd you get out you little imp?!" You shout angrily.
He cackles loudly. "A great magician never reveals his secrets!"
"Hello, Belkia," Tsubaki said calmly. "Are you all right?"
"Why of course, Tsu Tsu. I had that human girl cowering in fear the whole time!"
"Like hell you did!" You yell at him.
"Come Belkia, I believe we've overstayed our welcome."
"But Tsu Tsu! I wanted to make that girl pay for what she did to my hair!" he said, showing Tsubaki his cut hair.
"All in good time," Tsubaki said. "This won't be the last time we see these two."
"Oh, fiine!" Belkia says, throwing down a smoke bomb that explodes as soon as it hits the floor.
The thick white fog fills your apartment, making you cough. When the smoke finally disappears Belkia and Tsubaki are nowhere to be seen.
"Damn it," You mutter.
"Guess your safe wasn't as safe as you thought," Kuro said lazily.
"Oh shut up."
You walk into your room and look under the desk and groan when you see your safe, or what used to be your safe. Now it was just a bent hunk of metal. The door was hanging on by a centimeter of one of the hinges and the rest looked like it had been dropped off the top floor of a six-floor hotel. It had been bent at odd angles and the top was bent upward from the inside, making the thing useless.
"Good thing tomorrow's garbage day," You mumble.
Knock knock
"Okay, that has to be Lily," You say, walking back into the front room and picking the papers up off the floor. "If it's someone else I swear to God I'm gonna do something I regret."
You open the door, and sure enough, there stood the Servamp of Lust.
"Good morning (Y/n)!" He says sweetly.
"What's good about it?" I snapped, shoving the papers toward him.
"Is something the matter?"
"Yeah. Your younger brother paid me a very unwelcome visit."
Lily tilted his head. "'Younger brother'? I don't have a... oh, you must mean the SerVamp of Melancholy."
"Ring, ring, we have a winner," You say, voice dripping with sarcasm.
"A-anyway, t-thanks for giving me back the papers," He said, slightly scared of the annoyed look on your face.
"And tell Misono that we're even!" You shout as he walks away quickly.
You slam the door and turn back around, walking into the living room where Kuro was laying on the floor, a bag of chips in one hand and the TV remote in the other.
"Is eating junk food and watching TV all you do?"
He shrugged. "I'm the Servamp of Sloth, what do expect?"
"Touché,"
Knock knock
You stalk back to the front door, feeling as if steam was coming out of your ears. You grab the handle and throw the door open with so much force that for a second, you think that you'll have to fix this one as well.
No ones there, the only thing you see is an envelope lying on the doormat. You pick it up and read the writing on the front.
For Sloth
From C3"'C3'?" You mutter. "Hey, Kuro! You got some mail!"
"Who's it from?" He asks lazily, not looking up.
"Someone called 'C3',"
In a second he's up and standing in front of you, a dark look on his face. He snatches the letter out of your hands and turns his back on you. "Hey! What was that for?!"
He shoves the letter in his pocket and turns back to look at you. "Just some spam, don't worry about it. How about a round of Mario Kart?" He says, changing the subject.
"After the beating I gave you last time, you sure you want to go for Round Two?"
"I've been practicing,"
"Well then, let's see if it paid off," You say, grabbing a controller.
You knew the letter wasn't spam but Kuro acted as if the letter had never come and you decided not to push it. He probably had his reasons to lie. For now, you just wanted to enjoy the moment.
Hey guys, Loveletter here! Chapter Nine is done and thank god! I hope you're enjoying the series so far and I can't see an end from where I stand right now, so there will be more chapters to come!
