"It's always good when Slytherin plays the first game of the season, helps us see what new tricks and cheats they have up their sleeve this year." Cedric commented as he munched on a piece of toast. He had been talking about Quidditch ever since the three of them left the common room, and while Liv listened on with interest, wanting to learn as much as she could about the sport before today's game, Gwen was starting to zone out.

"Can't they win without cheating?" Olivia asked curiously. She could understand that the team may want to compensate for their lack of talent. After all, everyone wants to have a chance at winning, but she couldn't really imagine wanting to cheat just because you can.

"Oh Liv, sweet innocent Olivia. This is Slytherin we're talking about here. They always cheat, even when they're winning... They cheat." Cedric pointed out with a disgruntled shake of his head. Every other house always hated when it was their turn to play against the house of snakes.

"But not all Slytherins are like that right? They can't all be bad?" Olivia asked optimistically making Gwen give her a sweet look. The child-like optimism was something she found adorable.

"Well, they may not all be bad, but it's really hard to find a Slytherin that's pleasant to be around." She commented. She hadn't encountered such a person yet.

"Hope is nice to be around and she's a Slytherin. She even sits with me in potions and makes the class more bearable." Olivia exclaimed happily. Not being in the same house slightly limited her time with the first friend she had made on the Hogwarts Express but Olivia was happy that they managed to get some time together during the class. Even though with Professor Snape around they weren't able to have too much fun.

"Well that's great then." Gwen said with a supportive smile. If Liv considered the girl as a friend who were they to judge. Although Gwen had to admit she wasn't sure how long it would last. Even those that come into Slytherin as alright manage to grow into their Slytherin traits.

"Want an example of a Slytherin git?" Oliver's voice joined in on their conversation making all three send him curious glances before following the direction in which he pointed his finger. Their eyes caught sight of Professor Snape talking to Harry at the Gryffindor table.

"Never liked that man." An unfamiliar girl said with a frown on her face, but soon she replaced it with a happy smile as she turned to Olivia and extended her hand. "Hi, I'm Aurora, it's nice to finally meet you."

"Olivia, but something tells me you already knew that." Olivia laughed lightly as she shook the girl's hand. "It's nice to meet you too." While she may not have met the girl officially, she had heard the name Aurora in some of the stories Gwen had told her about her own first year, and could also remember seeing her around the halls with Oliver.

"So Diggory, what do you say we watch the game together? Get all those analytics of the teams out in the open." Aurora asked with a teasing smile as she turned towards Cedric. Liv could see there was some hidden meaning behind the proposition, but she wasn't sure what it was.
